anyone else see loser, lewis hamilton, on the tv adverts last night plugging the sun, which is serialising his new book ?

come and read the sun he begs so you can read about me and then you can go and buy my book which is also about me.

the bloke who failed miserably to clinch the world title despite being in the best car, is featured posing in front of the union jack.

well anyhow, today he has announced he is moving to switzerland because people keep recognising him in this country and asking for his autograph, even in petrol stations, and he cant hack it anymore.

the poor lamb just wants a normal life. normal presumably being where you promote yourself on tv at peak times, write a book, have it serialised in the countrys biggest selling newspaper, have life sized cutouts of yourself in a high street bank in every town and city in the country and generally flog every inch of yourself to the highest bidder.

still at least he isnt moving to switzerland to benefit from their taxation system.

no sir.

i did not suggest that.

no way that was him. he wouldnt publicise himself. he is shy and retiring and scared of being recognised. he just wants a normal life where he can go to the shops for crisps and put petrol in his clio at his local filling station without having to sign autographs.

the story on the bbc website is brilliant.

i can so understand him wanting to live in switzerland to avoid having to sign autographs. its a lovely country.

did i mention their low taxation ?
and he had the sun in his back pocket. rolfl

I like Dear Deirdre.

I reckon I could write Deirdre's bits, it'd be a hoot. But those photo strip stories are far too slow....
