After discussions with Michael's family it has been decided that a minute's silence will be observed prior to kick-off. As well as that, all of the players will sport the name 'Maidens' on the back of their shirts above their regular squad numbers.

The fans can observe the minutes silence Tom.

And if anybody is selling anything then I hope it is official stuff for which all proceeds will go to a memorial rather than some chancer profiteering with bootleg stuff.

If anyone is selling bootleg stuff they'd better have their hospital bed booked in advance.

Very appropriate.

There will be a minutes silence in China, at least at my gaff which is normally very noisy, at 10.00/3.00pm. You don't always have to be there.

Hopefully Poolsworld will start early enough for those not able to be there not to miss out completely?

What time do they normally start? Would they need to go "on air" a few minutes earlier as a one-off?

Normally ten minutes before kick off, they do the teams and a bit of interview with the guest commentator etc.

Just a thought, but an auction or raffle afterwards would raise a few quid.

On digital radio they probably will, but I don't know about FM as that is where all the Boro commentary is broadcast.
