Honestly, I really don't care.

I am just so unimpressed by these primadonnas and that complete arse of a manager I can't put it into words. This I believe is the start of a real sea change in this country. The spotlight is more concentrated because of the rugby team's success. The two are a complete mirror image:

Football team: lots of natural ability but no bottle. Unwilling or unable to give everything.
Rugby team: Mostly average players (on world level) but willing to literally sweat blood before giving an inch.

Agreed

Rugby players must see premiershit footballers like something they'd scrape off their shoes.

the way they abuse referees refred

the wages

FFS Dida refred - what do you think a rugby lad made of that :uhoh:

sad to say but it could be bbolt

Maybe England could employ South Africa's rugby training idea and see if any of our footballers can outrun a hungry cheetah?.

I appreciate that this is lumping all rugby players together, and is grossly unfair. But so is painting all footballers with the same brush.

If football refs were wired up like the rugby referees the nation would know who the thugs are.

But there's no chance of that because Rooney etc wouldn't be avaliable for England / Man Utd due to being locked up.

The rugby comparison (regarding attitude) is a handy one because it is topical, and more important, is possible because they have actually reached a final on what would appear to be predominantly mental strength. But there are a number of other team sports where it probably applies equally well.
I'm sure the national water polo/ice hockey/tug o' war team give just as willing a display of bottle when their turn comes round even if they win diddly squat.

Unfortunately it's the Israelis who can stop Russia qualifying not Croatia.

actually that did happen once david elliary did it and they void never to do it again as some of the comments to the ref were incredible and i think from memory tony adams was the worst offender

not that I'm defending them but I believe that all the england players agreed to give their fees to the nurses fund or some such.

Many people said the same on 606 last night and Tim Lovejoy suggested that England players give every Penney they earn on international duty to charity and this has happened for a while.

Mind, the money is probably peanuts compared to the weekly wage they earn at club level.

Here's a revolutionary idea: lots of people say rightly or wrongly that there are too many foreign players in England. What about if we INCREASED the number of foreign players in the prem, like to 100%. New premiership rule: no English players allowed.

Hey presto, no more premier-donnas in the England team.

Yeah I know, I know, it wouldn't be legally possible. sadx

Disappointing but not unexpected. I have no interest in the Premiershat and a dwindling interest in the England team. The real watershed for me was euro 96 - each disaster has just been increasing less painful since then. Walsall for me everytime.
