There was a bit on the NE news about this.....

The 6 should be IMO

Joe Allon
Kenny Johnson
Brian Honour
Michael Barron
Ritchie Humphreys
Watty Moore

However there really should be something named after Mr Harold Hornsey after his services to HUFC.........

the Council should intervene if Moore and Johnson aren't voted in, but apart from that the other four are up for grabs.

Couldn’t agree more Jonny, it would be a fitting tribute to the man.

Like Parmo says I really hope the older players are not overlooked. Moore and Johnson should definitely make the final six.

Personally I cant believe there’s not going to be a Barrie Wardrobe Way.

Barry - a great nickname for an item of bedroom furniture.
"Where's me shirt?"
"Hanging up in the Barry"!!

Are you serious? How is joe Allon a traitor? Rumours are that he was a bit of a tit the other week at Leeds but I worshipped the bloke when I was a kid his contribution in the 1991 season deserves to be recognised.

He always seemed to passionatly support Pools when doing his punditry as well, i like the bloke.....

I voted for Kenny Johnson who is now in his 70's and still working at the club. Our greatest goal scorer of all time I think with 98 goals but I agree with earlier posts we should have included Brian Clough and most certainly Cyril Knowles. But somebody has decided it has to be players. The modern day players have more chance but Russ Green has already said he doesn't think Konstantopolous Close will go down very well with the sign makers. We could have had Dimi Drive though. clappp clappp clappp

Oh I think you'll find they've been considered but the short list is by definition ... short!

I voted for "Leo Harding", but if he is one of the top six I hope they spell his name correctly.

Never saw him play, heard about him though and remember bumping into him a few times round King Oswy shops when I was younger. He was a bit of a character I seem to remember.

For me there should only be 5 streets named after players, the sixth should be to HAROLD HORNSEY.

No one ever did more to save our club and put it on the right path it's on today.

Rivals has come up with their first bit of sense in years wherethere's a bit of a campaign on H.H.s behalf.

No mention of Harold Hornsey being even in the shortlist in the Mail. Surely some letters or a campaign should be sent/started?

Definitely should be 5 players and Harold Hornsey.

The town cannot measure what it owes to him.

If the theme is football players then I think it should be players only.
It doesn't stop something else being named after HH.
How about suggesting ideas for that something?

What about one of our new stands?

Or the approach road to our "new" stadium?

Top idea Mr Fens, and minimum disruption as there is only Pools on it, I reckon??
