Went off it last night this bloke infront of us in the north-west corner shouted ( show some passion ) in fact a couple of minutes later mccunnie had another go at him.

McCunnie is a great signing. End of.

But explain...North West corner...I'm not good at geography, what stand is that? Left or right facing the pitch?

What was said?

And what did the great McCunnie say when he had go at him?

And just for the record, McCunnie has showed nothing but passion and desire from day one.

Must admit I'm getting a bit sick of some of the knee jerk reactionary tripe spouted these days (mainly on other boards to be fair) judging players harshly on a game by game basis).

Comments like "dire" and "poor" spouted on other boards about last night. On reflection we totally dominated the game from start to finish without looking overly threatening or getting that lucky rub of the green (Carlisle's second goal came from Barker hitting it into someones face on the wing then it ricocheting off his arm taking him clear of his marker). My constructive criticism is that Antwi should be replaced by Clark and that we look a bit toothless up front, nothing to scare the opposition or create something out of nothing. Worst latest moan I have been seeing is that Boland and Liddle pass backwards and sideways, FFS its called keeping the ball if there's nothing on in front of you.

In terms of McCunnie I think he's a great lad and a great addition to our team, a proper footballer!

i rate him, i really do. he had a poor game last night but he kept looking for the ball and that shows character.

deffo the best of the new signings so far.

not sure we dominated the game against carlisle, though i can see where dalton is coming from.

i thought for the first 20 minutes of the second half they were the better side, we struggled to get out of our half, and i couldnt see us scoring.

fortunately they took their attacking players ( 22 and 14 ) off and sat back too early. we brought our attacking players on and equalised.

they went back up a gear to be fair and really should have won it in injury time.

a draw was a fair result in the end, they certainly didnt deserve to lose.

For a change - we agree

Yeah, I guess I'm saying we dominated possession and territory and played reasonable football but lack a feeling that we are a real goal threat at home. Conversely Carlisle looked dangerous on the break every time they went forward, was impressed with both wide men and Graham on the day. Ultimately results depend on goals though I suppose.

Overall though we should take heart that we actually look a good footballing team and have not been dominated or ourclassed by anyone so far this season despite the step up in class. In Scott's season I was one of the dissenters from VERY early on because you could see in the performances that we were a shambles and that early season results were despite of, rather than because, of performance/tactics etc. Don't have that feeling at all these days and actually we are good to watch, I love passing football so am pleased with our style (I appreciate some lads love direct stuff, each to their own gravy).

I think part of the problem for McCunnie last night, was that Brown was being marked by 2 men, in fact at times on the ball last night it was 3, making it harder for him to make a telling pass. He has got so much more going for him than the last Jock right back, what a shame Mr Ross is out with a injury at the moment.

cowboy we agree on most things. or that was the impression i got. ive always considered you one of the top 3 posters on this board. like mr mad john you are on the sensible wing of the ecg clique.

we dont always agree, but even when we dont, your arguments are usually very well made, and ive never known you post for the sake of posting.

or perhaps ive mistaken you for someone else. stpid

dalton i think we have dominated possession in just about every game this season, home and away.

ive had a jokey running argument for weeks with poolie kev and mr mad john about our strikers, both of whom point to the goals scored column as proof that they are getting the job done.

i wonder where we would be if we had beckford and kandol up front. the truth is we may be no better off, but i suspect we would be top.

Appreciate the vote of confidence Chip - I rarely seem to get much response on here sctatchinghead

Wouldn't class myself as being part of any "ECG clique" (if such a thing existed - & I don't think it does)- Elvis is (probably) my best mate, but we do not always see eye to eye on here

Was told by a friend behind the dugout out that a fan had a go at Wilson for taking Brown off and Wilson had a go back.

I think a minute later the guy who replaced Brown scored. I do hope Wilson turned round to see the guys face.

Anyone see or hear this incident?

All you can ask from a player is he tries, And McCunnie defo does that, Not scared to get stuck in and I think he'll relish playing at Forest on Saturday.

Tree, i was two rows back from the idiot who had a go at Wilson. I put it in my match report on ri**ls. He is a known tit in the cyril who has a mini-me clone of a son who basically apes everything his gormless fatha says. He accused Wilson of bullying younger players, saying Brown was an easy target when he wanted to make a change. stpid To his credit Wilson glared at him over the dug-out and suggested politely that he 'fookin well shut up' When Mackay scored he looked straight over and invited said ex-Sunday league poseur to 'f uck off'

got the biggest cheer of the night.

Brilliant stuff.

Apparently also a spat witha loud mouth guy on the back row being told to "shut the fuck up" by a guy in front? You can be our crowd reporter.
