I was actually on a weeks work experience at ICI in Billingham. Got the bus home then my mates dad picked me up. I remember queueing up at the Cricket Ground. Paddy McHugh starting the Poolie singing outside the turnstiles. I am pretty certain we were stood in the Tin Shed and darlo fans had to walk past us to get to parts of the ground. My memory may be a bit hazy there, though hopefully Alzheimers hasn't yet set in.

I was there with a coach full of Marines & Navy lads who went just for the piss up, they could not believe their eyes when 2 of our players started fighting each other.
