Dead Seal Pups

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

Just seen that all the 20 odd of them died at Seal Sand and Greatham this year. With all the dead crustations i just wonder if there is a connection somewhere and if its something serious are we being kept in the dark.

Seems such a shame. Hopefully the investigations into this will find out what exactly is happening.

I wonder how the crab etc die back affected the seal population on Teesside?

Why are the Tees seals having this problem but not those living further up the coast?

Its strange but i have just been listening to Radio Tees who covered this story on the news and the next report was about the fisherman demanding compensation for the crab die off.
Asking for a friend.
