I normally wait ten games,

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

before commenting…..not conceding goals is creditable, but failing to score them indicates a burning wish to finish top …. of the middle of the table.
If this continues over the next five games, we are busy going nowhere.
Games need to be won, no ifs, no buts, it’s all about the points.
The way things are we need a good run to keep things together at all levels, we need to compete.
Failure to do so could be problematic….patience has a short life span in football.

I said a few games ago the next match is a must win game.
Some thought i was over reacting but now they can see why.
Draw= 2 points lost not 1 won, IF you as a club you are serious about promotion, Then i,m afraid draws any NO good and i,m sure SG would agree.

Agree with all the comments . Just watched Grayson post match and he was honest in his assessment . There where not many who come out of yesterdays game without any credit apart from the back 5 . We seem to be the total of opposite of last season in that we have a great defence and poor attack . Last year great attack and poor defence . I’ve been pretty positive about our play so far . But those ironically like Loyal and Billingham dare I say it are proving to be right . Still along way to go but it’s up to Grayson now to work harder on the training pitch. We need more players running into the box rather than being passive . Need more work on the final ball. I like Grayson it’s now up to you mate …….

just feelfor once we have a team that could end up being different by picking up more away points than they do at the vic. we are just ripe at the vic for a team who have no ambitions but gaining a point and have the players capable of doing that and no more. i,d guess now if that game was played at brackley we,d hav creatd more chances even if the result ended the same.

Seems the lesser teams where you expect a win, now arrive with a ‘get a point’ siege mentality to frustrate and turn the game into a.time wasting pantomime.

they had better be careful as they,ll kill the game in the end. nobody are going to continue rolling up to games when teams have an attitude like that right from the KO. if our next two home matches are carbon copies of last saturday i think more than me will take our time to come back to the vic again. giving even more points for an away win might see teams having a better attitude and mKE THE GAMES BETTER.

That was true a fortnight ago against Boston but not on Saturday. Brackley went for the win second half - they could see as well as we could that Pools had gone into their shells. They're no mugs either - the only team so far to beat Rochdale.

Funnily enough, I Think Pools have a great chance to bounce back at Aldershot on Saturday. The Shots are the division's top scorers but can't defend - 19 conceded. Pools have only conceded 3 all season. 1-0 to the Hartlepool?

Brackley were the better team on Saturday, Well organised out of possession and when in possession getting the ball down and playing football and trying to win the game.
We were lifeless, Nobody taking responsibility, Players who we know are a shadow of themselves, These last few games. So something has changed.

Yeah, it was the nobody taking responsibility that got me also. The moment was summed up late in the game when we had a free kick just inside their half, all the big lads went into the box and cameron john played the ball across the half way line. I'm just picking one particular moment, but it was the story the game.

grayson was crying out for a week without a midweek match to get em on the training ground. goodness knows what he did with them as the decision making and life in the team was not there. did they know what they would be expecting from them and were just not up for the challenge.

We had numerous free-kicks where there was an option to put all the big lads up and launch it into the box, we played it short, sideways and backwards almost every time. We were creating nothing from open play so we should have been testing them from free-kicks imo.
Miley being dropped was a huge error and he needs to be taking free-kicks and corners too, Daly and Benn were ridiculously bad at them.
