BTW derwent....nice one....

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

That you locked the Loyal_Fan thread and still didn't mention why you have allowed the racist thread about black English footballers to still be on show on a public Hartlepool United Message Board. Well played clappp

It is an opinion Mutley, nothing more, nothing less.

Some black people might want to play for the country they have roots in, some for the country they were born in.
People may agree with their choice, others may not.

I would not want the English cricket team made up of Indians, whether they were born in this country or not, that is my opinion.
An Indian born in this country might want to play for the Indian cricket team and not the English one, he is proud of his heritage and to be Indian.

I am proud to be English and white, no harm in me saying that.
A black man can be proud to be African and black.

And if I were to say I could only identify with our national team full of what I class as English, I am not being racist. If the English cricket team were full of Indians, I could not support that team, it would feel alien to me. The same if the English football team was black. The same if the German team were full of Turks, it would not feel right. And the same if the Nigerian team were full of Indians.

It is my opinion and an opinion I will stick to!

Yes I've just tried that and you are correct.
Now THAT IS RACIST and I defy anyone to dismiss it as any thing else.

Must be tough for you then that half the England players who got on the pitch last night against Serbia were black? And that 4 out of the 5 goalscorers were black? Good job Valentino Livramento is proper English

Not to mention that just under half the Pools' starting line up this season is black. Maxim Kouogun is definitely not English - born in Cameroon, brought up in Ireland.
But McNally, Francis, John, Reid (and Folarin) are all English born and raised. Most Pools fans will understand that Jermaine Francis turns out for Grenada's national team because he's never going to be good enough for England, just like the dozens of English-born players who turm out for Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Maybe not you?

Stand by your beds for when Simon Grayson's new signings are revealed. The poor bloke is colour-blind.

Not even going to try that cos I can't associate with the N word but I'll take your word for it and Mutley's.
I had no idea how that got there, or how long it's been there but I'll certainly look into it cos I have no idea how to take it down, never done that before. leave it with me.

easy derwent, I wrote "a team full of indians", and "a team full of bl ac ks."
One came out a team full of indians, the other the 'N' word.

Looks like some sort of bad joke, if you write a certain term, the site changes it to the other word.
Hardly my fault and when I saw it when I re-read my post, I changed it straight away and put up my concerns.

This thread you keep mentioning was scrutinized and a decision was made. However I am prepared to look at it again.
The problem I've got is that I can spend a lot of time doing this but having asked me to do this you must be prepared to accept the decision that is made, or there is no point in me doing it.
As you are the one insisting that what you consider to be an error of judgement on the board management's part, you dig the thread out and put it up. Deal????

Flying Hogans, you can have your opinion, and I will respect that.
I have my opinion and the least you can do is respect mine.
You may not agree, that is your prerogative. The same as I don't have to agree with you views.
I don't think that the England football team should be managed by a German, does that make me racist?

derwent, I think someone who has moderator powers has obviously put in a word substitution in the past and forgot about it.

Also if Mutley wants a decision looked at again, despite you making the call, then where does it leave the rest of the forum?!?
If Mutley or others do not like someone's opinion, and they don't like it, they kick up a fuss and throw their dummy out!

I don't agree with for example, many things Jamie says, but I never call him, but try and have a reasoned debated with the fellow.
I am more than happy to discuss with Mutley my views and listen to his but I suspect he would take to name calling again.

Mutley, just accept people have different views to you.

Are you objecting to the fact that I commented on your post? That would be pretty odd. Happens all the time on here.

I asked a question about your attitude to the make-up of the current Pools side, but to be honest I'm grateful that you didn't reply. We certainly disagree, so let's leave it at that.

I think you are right about the change being forgotten. I have tried to delete it but I'm not sure I have and have asked Mr I to check when he gets a chance due to the hours of driving he does. I have never used that facility so I'm stumbling in the dark.
I take your point but I've made the offer so I'll honour that.
It is a one off and I expect the decision to be accepted and every other decision hereafter.
There is no precedent setting here.

Catching up with all the bans etc . Got to agree with the moderators just have to be careful . I’m all for free speech but with a caveat . Personal attacks are not nice . It’s a fine line sometimes but I do see the moderators point of view . We are living in litigious times

said it a 100 times that at times what you really think comes over different when you read the words instead of hearing them. probebly with increased techy stuff you,ll be able to hear and see a poster instead of just reading what they say.

Kevin we were told over a month ago that when the EFL window closed, We would make a move.
We were told the other day that Agents had been plugging players.
Someone at the club would/should have had a list ready to go the moment the window closed.

I,m board shitless with all of it now, So basically could not give a flying.
All that comes out of the club is Bollocks.
Good Bye HUFC.

It was me. Years ago (6/7 years ago) I was having an argument with some leftie and being called racist as usual. I got my own back by changing the swear filter so that the leftie's posts changed the word black to ni**er. Childish I know but I never claimed to be mature. I since forgot about it until this week when Derwent advised my of the issue.

So not down to Mr D, entirely me - sorry.

PM me if you need tissues to cry into. I've put in a bulk order.
