Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.
Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

Yes now fine.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck it is probably a duck!

Thursaday 2.55. Latency is so bad the site is almost impossible to use. This has been happening off and on since the weekend. Wondering if it is purely accidental or is someone deliberately sabotaging the site. Hope it can be sorted.

We've had problems before and I don't think anything has been that serious to be unfixable. Maybe Mr I can explain in more depth. The technical side is beyond me. I had only just mastered the biro when the technical stuff arrived !!!!!!!!

I have no doubt that between you, it will be sorted. I have only been a member on here for a relatvely short time (approx 4 years) and can only remember one instance when the board was simply not accessible for around 24 hours due to server maintenence. The latency thing is a new phenomena to me although as I say, not been on here as long as some others.

Aye, maintainance work is a normal process that will interfere with normal service.

I know there is a server issue which is being worked on. I’m also moving it soon to a new host which will allow a rake of updates to happen. Bear with me please, I’ve got a day job too.

During the close season the board had wide ranging topics but now the season has began its back to footy again, some might say it’s better that way as The Bunker is a footy message board albeit I am guilty among others of posting non footy topics,

when games come thick and fast like they do now everyone is concentrating on them. apart from politics i doubt people have the time or interest to think up topics and get replies off others.
