Seems obvious we need to bring a striker in if we are aiming for the play offs. As it stands we are a decent team but draws and noble but narrow defeats lead to mid table mediocrity. Grayson will be well aware of this.

Personally I thought the midfield struggled to cope with FGR's press all afternoon. Milley did well, Sheron so-so, Daly pretty anonymous. Charman worked as hard as anybody on the pitch first half but ran out of gas later.

Still, the local yokel commentators on DAZN said Pools were the best side FGR have played so far this season and Savage's lot settled for the 1-nil 15 minutes before the end and pretty much ran the clock down. Can't argue with the no end product from Pools though.

Goalkeeper is class, defence gave their left winger too much time and space first half but otherwise solid enough. Midfield and wide men didn't create much at all, strikers feeding off scraps - they won't score if we don't create chances in the box. Reid can't play as a target man on his own. Agree subs offered nothing.

at least we have only one problem to solve scoring goals. in the past we have has problems scoring and conceeding goals all in the same team. the big problem is finding the right man to solve our problem without a cheque book to throw at the problem.

the final pass does leave a lot to be desired as nobody has had glaring misses even if they could have done better in the same circumstances. big problem with not scoring can be players avoiding shooting to pass on the responsibility to others by not being selfish enough or have confidence in themselves.
