A couple of stabbings too. Strange how an event that causes so many stabbings and arrests is sanctioned and indeed encouraged to go ahead year after year with the police actively engaging in the revelries. Why not just ban it as they would other planned gatherings where they expect criminality and the requirement for a huge police presence (on overtime)?

Had to laugh at a spokesperson kicking off about the deployment of live facial recognition cameras - said they shouldn't be allowed at the event because it doesn't work so we'll for black and other ethnic minority faces! Surely he wasn't implying they all look the same??? The irony!!

we all know it would be banned if it was a st,georges day celebration. even if we drew the boro, the mags or the mackems in a cup game at the vic a stupid 12 o,clock ko would be in force. its a world now of two tier actions which are only adding to the problems we have. looking at the msm its har to realise the event was actually on.
