Good manager who seems to know what he's doing.

Promotion then takeover.

Parksy our best player of last year is not going to get back in to this team. Young, dynamic and clinical

This is absolutely mental. I know these aren't very good but it's just the pressing and going for everything. What a breat of fresh air.
Still won't get me back in the Vic like....not until Radge has gone.

Solid performance again, Grayson made 5 changes to save energy for Monday . Job done and top of the league. Only negative Johnson still not found his legs . But early days

Good win today so we move on to Monday and i wud make 1 change to the team.

Drop Danny and bring him on as a sub

Bring parks in the centre of defence.

Move John to R/B

Move Francis just playing behind Reid.

I know you shouldn't change a winning team how ever Southend will be a tough challenge but the pace we would have up top would have them on the back foot.

I think he will stick with what we started with today, maybe Parkes plays to give a center back a rest
Big test for Francis defensively

Tbh if we put in a dclecent performance and don’t get injuries I’ll be happy

John is Left footed, and is playing brilliantly in the left sided Centre-half role. Why would we move him out to the right-back, on his wrong side?

Your prayers have come good!

If in the last few seasons, had we been able to spank the bottom clubs as we did today, we could have achieved promotion or at least playoffs. It has been a serious weakness that is hopefully behind us.

Raj's track record selecting managers is poor but it looks like he has found a good one in Grayson. I feared relegation in June but now expect a very good season.

Another good win without really creating much again. Defence fantastic once more, got some players with skill. Grayson has done a fantastic job to get us to start like this. Would love to see 2 or 3 signings to pre empt the injury that will come our way. Still think we drastically need another forward in. Massive test now on Monday, win that and we will of had a dream start.

Another solid performance today - if we hadn't been playing again on Monday, Grayson would presumably not have (quite rightly) weakened the side and the scoreline would likely have been even more emphatic.

However, if nothing else the changes served to highlight the limitations within the squad and thus the need to strengthen further if the promising start is to develop into a realistic promotion challenge.

It seems obvious that the offloading of several of today's bench warmers coupled with the introduction of two or three quality additions could ignite the Vic.

Today's attendance was slightly above last weeks turnout. However, you don't need to be Nostradamus or even Mystic Meg to foresee a significant increase in crowds, sponsorships, season ticket and merchandise sales etc. IF the current form continues and IF the ridiculous situation at the club could be brought to a satisfactory resolution for all parties.

Whatever our personal feelings regarding the current owner, he is clearly a shrewd businessman and must surely appreciate that the club could soon be approaching lift off under Grayson and his new signings.

Is it too much to hope that someone at the club - or maybe within the owners family - could have a quiet word and persuade him to stop the shenanigans and make reconciliatory efforts for the mutual benefit of everyone associated with the club - and also potential new buyers, impressed with the turnaround of Pools fortunes? Just a thought.

Agree Joe. The performances on the pitch need to be matched by performances off the pitch - by the owner & the board - & until they get their act together, the on-the-field efforts could be wasted

The bad publicity over recent weeks has certainly hit the gates. R/S needs to make conciliatory gestures to a number of people and groups if we are to see a significant increase in attendances. Unfortunately I don’t think he is that sort of person.

those lads on the pitch deserve more fans to come. those staying away are doing it or one reason only but those players cannot alter the situation. what comes first the players and the team you support or an owner whose name would hardly have been mentioned yesterday at the vic.

Great performance well done to all. We have got some gems in the side. Onwards and upwards.

How many away fans?

Crowd wasn't a massive difference yesterday to the fixture last season although would've expected a few more with the decent start we've had and no other local teams playing at home.

Seems we were right to get shot of Timmi Odusina if yesterdays performance was anything to go by.

Wouldn't change the starting 11 today at all, everyone of them looks good in their positions, even Francis looks excellent defensively in what's not his natural position. Daly seemed to get better as the game went on and maybe there's more to come as his match fitness improves, very importantly imo though is that he is absolute quality at dead balls and we're looking a threat every time we get a free kick or corner.
