Looked like a hamstring so may be a few weeks
Medium term we should get a loanee to cover but short term I would play Stephenson

Not a huge fan of his but any other option where we move Sheron or Francis there has a huge impact on mobility in middle of pitch.

I would go with as few rearrangements as possible

Only 3 games in and already the lack of depth is being exposed unfortunately

We were terribly exposed last night down the right weren't we? 3 clean sheets so far! We don't know the extent of Benns injury do we, we've got Stephenson and Hunter who can cover. I'm sure Grayson will have a plan to cover if necessary.

I really like Francis but he had to cover when Benn went off, which didn't play to his strengths. The bloke gave his all though, fair play to him but isn't the answer. Of the options available, got to be Stephenson for me. I've not seen anything about Hunter I particularly like!
Sheron has to stay in the middle, so hopefully we won't be shifting him to right back in a different formation.

Yeh Francis wasted at wing back and none of Hunter walker or Feather are mobile enough to replace Sheron (walker was a weird signing given who we already had ) so Stephenson is the least bad option….really need a loanee though if Benn out for any length of time

I'm sure Hunter turned out a couple of times in the RB position and did ok last season, not a fan of Stevo and on last season's form he's not up to standard just yet.
Certainly agree I wouldn't be splitting the Miley Sheron pairing in CM in a hurry. Both unspectacular but very effective.

Hunter can cover at centre half but definitely not full back/wing back.

Francis was good at RWB, but he’s been excellent in the AM role, so moving him to RWB is weakening two positions. Definitely Stevo in at RWB and Francis back in his normal slot.

Playing Stevo in a team with a settled, strong and capable defence will help with his development.

It was Sheron who filled in a couple of times at righ back. He was good at it too, but another you'd rather see in midfield.

Concurring that Stevo probably isn't the answer. His form dropped right off at the back end of last season. Will probably get a loan spell at an NLN or Northern Premier League club before long.

I can only see it being Louis Stephenson to replace Benn. He's decent enough, and can get forward. Im pretty sure Grayson can get a tune out of him, and as someone else on here has mentioned, being part of a confident defence should make a world of difference.

Think that’s a good point about Stephenson. We all want him to succeed as his attitude is spot on and him being a local lad. Big season for him.

I'm confident Stevo will be ok in that role.

for me he has played more good matches than bad. its just a young player thing who when they are bad they are shocking. better than wasting francis there an woking would be glad if he was away from our attacking threat more.

I'd start Stevo on Saturday. We can't afford to take Sheron out the midfield and Francis looks good in the attacking midfield role so I'd keep him there.

I want Stephenson to do well, and cant fault his work ethic but he always has a mistake in him....may get away with it v Woking but any run of games and a dropped bollock is probable---the fact Grayson hasn't even had him on the bench yet probably tells a story

I would give him a crack Saturday due to lack of other options...but after that we need to get someone in

I dont want Benn rushed back as no options and ending up with a longer term issue...

I'm sure Hunter played right back last season and was ok, yes I know Sheron filled in there as well!

exactly. stevo or hunter coming in and not messing about changing a few players around to cover one position and making a settled team look disjointed.
