It doesn't really matter what it is. If I had to choose between being somewhere to watch my daughter performing something she had worked long hours perfecting such as majoretting then I'm damn sure she'd come before a football match.

"My dad took me to my first Pools match when I was six months old. I've supported them ever since."

Yeah well my dad took me straight out of Grantully to the Victoria Ground when I was two days old and I said "that's gonna be my team from now on dude".

Thats all these things are about, missing your childrens birthdays/graduations or such like for football.

If thats what it takes id rather not be a "nations top fan"

I dont know the bloke at all apart from hes message board antics...obviously a few of you do have a problem with him for reasons what are unknown to me. I just hope the hostility shown towards him are for them reasons alone and not because hes an easy-target, or that you are jealous or pissed off that it wasnt one of the in-crowd who was nominated.

Hes a human being with a family and to get to every home game from Leeds is an amazing achievement. Does he deserve this sort of harrasment/bullying or is it cool because he cant spell and generally talks shiite?

Id rather he won it than anyone else from any other club, yeah??

As far as the competition is concerned, if you'll believe "I've been supporting the club since I was 6 months old" you'll believe anything.

As for Leeds himself, I think the only thing that really pisses me off to the point of dislike is when he calls us "you lot" (referring to England) when talking about international football. I don't mind Frank Reid calling us "you lot" (not that he does) because he's a proper sweaty, but when I hear that from someone born and bred an Englishman I find it impossible to have anything but disdain.

I don't have a problem with him at all but theres more important things in life than football and personally i'd rather see and be there for family events than miss it for a group of people kicking a ball about.

Life is about priorities and if my kids have an important event I wont fuck them off for Pools.

Jools, if you want to explain your "one of the In-Crowd" comment, you know where I am. Theres no "bullying" either. I won't hold my breath...

Haha, no bullying my arse!!
Im not saying your the main culprit or even a culprit at all, but no one deserves to get the piss taken out of them as much as he has done for typing drivel on a message board or moaning at football matches for that matter.
Like what others have said, its only a bunch of men kicking a ball about which gives us something to do on a Saturday afternoon.

one of the reasons i was glad to leave rivals for this board was leeds poolie if ever there was a half empty type of person it is him.
i used to get depressed just reading his posts and used to hum to myself always look on the bright side of life to try and stop myself from slashing my wrists.
that is my feelings
oh and having a interpreter to decipher his ramblings was not always easy
