What narks the knackers off you that other drivers do?

My pet hate is the Elwick Road / Wooler Road junction when people on Wooler Road hold up all the traffic behind them to let people out of Elwick Road to turn right. banghead

Wooler Road has right of way so why do they stop?

I'd let them sit there all day for being thick enough to go to that junction at busy times and expect to be able to push in. stpid

And then some of the cheeky fkers try to push in! refred

I never let anybody out of there and would rather crash into them than let them push in. rage

I hate the Tesco junction where you wait in line to go straight across and some tw*t tears up the out side and goes straight across... I've even had them pull up alongside me, so I've driven straight down Burn Road just to pee them off...it takes me well out of my way, but the pleasure of seeing their faces is a picture
WORST OF ALL IS...the f*****g bus stop right on the junction of York Road and Elwick Road which blocks the road off completely.... why not have the bus use the stop at Strathmore House ..it's only 50 yards away... sctatchinghead

That bus stop is a piss take like Snowy. What they should do is block the end of Houghton Street? and make a space there for buses to pull in to.

The bus stop oppostie Fens shops is also a pain in the arse, why have it so close to a set of traffic lights.

And tailgaters on the dual carriageways, I make sure that i slow down a bit for them and when I do eventually pull over I take as long as I can over it.

Folk who are turning right off the main road but don't pull far enough over on even the widest roads so they end up blocking all the traffic behind who want to go straight on. banghead

And twts who are turning right at a T-junction but sit in the middle so people turning left have to wait for them to have a gap to pull out.

old drivers in the 65+ bracket they should be made to take the test again every 5 years as they are all slow dangerous and have glasses like coke bottles

Call me sexist if you like (like I care) but women drive the 10 foot in front of the car. They have no perception of vanishing points or lateral vision. This is why there are no decent female racing drivers or motorbike racers, they simply cannot grasp the more advanced aspects of moving a motor vehicle.

Dont get me started on the school run on Mowbray Road! I live right near the school and the amount of people who double park and sometimes block our drive is very annoying! I've once watched a woman pick her kid up and then drive up Kesteven Road 200 yards and pull up on a drive up there, All that just because it was raining.. Infuriating!!

I continually try to explain to Mrs R that she should be looking futher in front of the car than the end of the bonnet!

The no parking zone around schools should be extended to an 800m radius and strictly enforced.

If somebody puts their car on your property uninvited I would imagine that they are technically trespassing.

If they are trespassing, are you legally entitled to smash their car up with a spade or a hammer?

No, but you're under no obligation to be polite like Abi Poolie's aunt when you say F.Off.

And wagon drivers who try and overtake each other on a dual carriageway even though they're doing within 1mph of each other and they know it's gonna take about 7 miles for them to get passed and pull back in.

Caravan pullers too.

Caravans and HGVs should only be allowed to travel between 1000h - 1500h and 2000h - 0600h, the rest of the time they should be banned from the road.

Worst of all are the utter, imbecilic tvats who for some demented reason turn up outside the school, in one paricular instance, 1 hour before the school comes out... The rotund female occupant sits there with a book....the irony of it is, she lives 5 minutes walk away from the school

She's "reserving her spot" nearest to the gate so that her equally rotund offspring doesn't have to walk too far before being driven home to be fed.

And she's probably only pretending to be able to read aswell.

Give me a bazooka and one week...

They always drive a K reg four wheel drive with bull bars ( so they can eat the 'road kill' on the way home)..the vehicle looks depressed and weary as the occupants are probably too lazy to actually clean it out and it needs top of the range springs to absorb the weight of the occupants and their survival rations of lard and chocolate.

so then, what are the list of commandments whereby if any one of them is broken, there shall be an automatic ban on driving?
Let the cull begin!!!!

Whilst I agree it's wrong to use a mobile phone while driving a car, I'm getting pissed off with Frank Butcher clones slamming their brakes on sharpish to answer the phone, blocking the road and saying they're only complying with a law they despise

1. Thou shalt not get in my way with thou caravan on a Saturday morning, even if thou art on the way to the Lake District to make thine tea at 48mph, when I am going up to Hartlepool to get mortal with the lads and watch the lads, for it is written. Otherwise thou shalt get a holy kicking. Right in thou kipper. And that harlot, thou missus, needn't start neither, or she shall be smitten also, the bitch.

Often compounded on three-lane carriageways by the car in the remaining lane going just 1mph faster than the overtaking lorry.

... then there's the driver, always a bloke, on a dual carriageway, who insists on staying in the outside lane even when there's nothing at all in front of him, it's as though entering the inside lane is an insult to his dignity.

ooooooh where do i start

the bus stops at shottons york road going towards burn valley
the bus stop at the wesley 5 metres from a set of traffic lights?????????????
the bus stop at fens shops going towards fens school
are all stupid.

right OXFORD ROAD stupid people who have parked cars on their side of the road but then play chicken with the vehicles coming down with right of way.
eskdale road the 2@ts who park at the side of the speed bumps so you have to drive over them instead of straddling them.
shool run drivers on hart lane
school run drivers fens school area
school run drivers manor school
school run drivers st hilds, st helens, barnard grove, clavering
anybody notice a theme here
drivers who see a bus indicating to pull away from a stop who despite being 200 yards behind have to try and get past it
drivers who dont indicate at roundabouts
bus drivers who block the road to let their mate round
(only joking about the last one)
people who stop on york road to allow people to cross between the spot and changes
people who overtake when you are in a queue of traffic and then expect to push their way in
people in cars with kids stood up on the back seat
people with kids sat on their knee in the front passenger seat
and obviously people who block bus stops.

that will do for now

It must be hard to 'switch off' when you travel and don't drive yourself, or do you enjoy it?

Dont get me started on the school run on Mowbray Road! I live right near the school and the amount of people who double park and sometimes block our drive is very annoying! I've once watched a woman pick her kid up and then drive up Kesteven Road 200 yards and pull up on a drive up there, All that just because it was raining.. Infuriating!!

What they should do is convert the grassed area on the other side of the school fence into a car park for parents and then put yellow lines all the way up Mowbray Road to at least Holland Road

clappp clappp clappp

I continually try to explain to Mrs R that she should be looking futher in front of the car than the end of the bonnet!

Cheeky buggars!! Not all women drivers are crap. I'm a very good driver. Just got back from Cyprus where I hired a huge 7 seater 4 x 4 jeep and went driving round the little dirt roads in the mountains where there's only enough space for one car with sheer drops to the side. I really enjoyed it though a couple of passengers were sh!tting themselves!!!

How about when a bus is stopped by the side of the road bur drivers coming in the opposite direction decide to drive in the middle of the road which prevents you from going past the bus even though there is plenty of space for two cars to pass

People who park on double yellow lines as though they only apply to everybody else and not to them.

People who park in disabled bays in the car park when they're not disabled.

People who have disabled badges and use them to park in disabled bays but aren't disabled and are just using granny's badge while they get their shopping in.

Anybody with a Borer sticker in their car.

People, usually women or old blokes who wear flat caps to drive in, who do Catcote Road at 20mph.

Idiots who think that they have to slow down to 30mph to go past the fixed speed camera on the A689 near the Owton Lodge even though it's a 40mph limit.

Mongs in 4x4's who can't put their oversized and unnecessary vehicle into a parking space properly.

my pet hate is the driver who slows down the flow of traffic, by simply never looking ahead, and stopping at every junction, roundabout etc. before they decide to have a look.
Why don't some folks slow down just enough, stay in second gear and actually look to their right at a roundabout BEFORE they get to the line??? Rather than stopping having not looked, THEN looking, THEN realising that if they had looked while approaching they could have been out.
More infuriatingly, if they had done all of the above, they would have been out, the car going across the roundabout would have passed, and then I could have gone straight out too!!!!!
However, I'm now at a stop behind a retard who can't/won't think ahead!!!!!
I've learned to back off from the car in front of me approaching a roundabout, to give myself the best chance of the road being clear when I get there, so hopefully if it's a twat driving they might have actually moved off by the time I get to the line!!!!!.

I like people who stop in the middle of the road and wave everyone else out the of the give way junctions thus inconveniencing everyone behind them. They may feel like kings of the fookin' road and Mr Nice Guy but if they knew what was going through my head they'd be breaking every speed limit in town and running kids over to get home and pull Michael Barrymore off their lass.

Simple one for me, people who have no idea how to signal on a roundabout, either switch their left indicator on way too soon meaning you nearly crash into them or simply dont bother and you sit there thinking they are going straight over when they turn off before they get to you. banghead

Oh and people who seem to have started going right at roundabouts in the left hand lane!!! Especially the one near them balls towards the headland.
