Has he gone yet

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

Er, so you just put up with it and become a nodding dog.
That said, some are by nature.

Funny how the fans who haven't been to a game in years forget that getting along to the Vic once a fornight or so is just a thing that other fans enjoy doing. Starting a season with curiosity about new players rather than a cast-iron expectation of success? Hoping for a decent game and maybe a win rather than a guaranteed 3 points on the road to promotion?

Just put up with it? You mean the likelihood of disappointment? Sorry kid, I'd have found a different hobby or team to support a long, long time ago if that was a big barrier to me following Pools.

Get down off your high horse, I was there when they were needing them not feeding them…..1400 crowds were my norm, so I don’t need a sermon from Right Reverend Smug on the topic of support your holiness.
I have several hobbies…obviously you have just the one ….a happy clappy hope that things will turn out right and we’ll all live happily ever after on sunlit uplands…my arse

I've been going to Pools as long as you have, you pompous windbag. Longer in fact, since you jacked it in several years ago pleading 'bad knees'. Funny that, one of your other hobbies is taking your dog for a long walk twice a day

Taking dogs for walks is not an hobby, ….it’s a necessity…and they certainly ain’t long…..you’ll have to raise your perception of hobbies to pull that stroke.
Bad knee’s ain’t funny, but I’m glad you tried that petty little dig…now I know what I’m dealing with…..the Right Reverend Right….or should that be ‘always right’…..

What’s baffled me though is I’ve never criticised any signings or the manager because I give everyone ten games to prove their worth….or show some promise.
Only one thing blights things for me, but it appears there are those out there in the ‘Don’t rock the Boat Party’, quite happy to nod in deference.

for me football fans have changed a lot over the years everywhere. i guess now if liverpool finish runners up next season and fail in the semi finals of every ko competition many will say they have had a bad season. if by some miracle pools did get promoted how many will be unhappy if they only finished 17th like there first season back ended. we are the same as most clubs where there are more comments about defeats than wins.
