I think there are a lot of question marks on them, some may be good others less though but I haven’t seen a single signing yet who I have thought will clearly be a success….though last year I was confident with Campbell and charman which shows how much I know

As someone said there is a bit of the Hartleys about this pre seaskn, we’ve lost a bunch of known quantities, mani D, Grey, Clearly Mancini Madine on the attacking side and Dodds/ferguson at the back

We weren’t great last year and if people are confident we’ve signed better players than them so far well …. I admire their optimism

All the signings have been given a chance, the handful of good ones and the boat load of mediocre ones. They don't scream out to me as very ambitions signings. Let's hope we're lucky instead. We'll need it.

Tell how they're not being given a chance? The chances of them coming good are no greater than they were for signings in previous summers. They are the same typical NL type signings made under the same godawful club regime. You wouldnt get very good odds on this meaning another season to add to the run of poor ones we've had in recent years. Nowhere have I said that's a certainty by the way, it's possible they might come good (there's the chance given). But why would I be daft enough to be optimistic about the coming season with no evidence to back that up and plenty of precedent to the contrary?

I'm not convinced by what we are signing that's not to say they can't be world beaters, but going by the people making these decisions who are still here gives me no confidence whatsoever. Even signs in pre season so far and I know its early doors if you can take much from it points to us really struggling. It wouldn't be a shock if we struggled at Redcar too. I'd say we're about 8 players of being even competitive, I just can't see us bringing that quality in.

I hope I'm totally wrong but I reckon it will probably take half an hour at Yeovil before we think crikey we look a bit short. Still time to bring in quality but we won't, evidence over last few years says we won't bring enough in. I don't see where any goals are going to come from we look ridiculously weak so far

On the bright side there are some really poor sides in this league and if we are struggling around Xmas and we shit ourselves enough to make some signings that may well be enough to get us clear of relegation , but the fact it looks to me like a bottom half finish in this godforsaken league is really depressing
