1st Match Away v Yeovil

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

Typical Pools, unluckiest club on earth. Shit first games, good games midweek or in winter months, shit cup draws, get to play off final when Wembley is out of bounds. I can count on one hand, the amount of decent games Pools have had over the years, Torquay away first game in 1991, Blackpool away last couple of games in early 80s, Man City away 1976, Villa at home 1974, Bradford at home early 2000s, Portsmouth at home first game 1979, Leeds at home on Boxing Day once, spring to mind, no doubt they'll be few I've forgot, but we are talking about 50 years worth of games, anyone got any more?

FFS loyal - I'd managed to erase that from my memory! Believe that was the pinnacle of Uncle Darren's Premiership, against one of his former clubs- it really was downhill after that.

Don't think we should be too surprised by yet another shit set of fixtures. I'm sure the fella that presses the button on the big computer is actually a loid- saw a program about it a couple of years ago. Starting AND. finishing away is a complete piss take and has happened a couple of times in recent years.

If it looks like we still going down the Trialists route to up number the squad.
Then Novembers tough fixtures and iif it's anutha non entry to play in the FA Cup 1st round.

Then a bit of not back slapping the main man could trigger the big A.

Just a bit of foreword assessment.

Out of our hands totally.

It's fair to say we a lot closer to A than P.

Ya don't need to be Einstein to come to that conclusion.

was expecting that. both clubs set to lose a few thousand quid they would have got if the games were played on a saturday. playing some southern outfit mid week would hardly make much of a difference. fact is the away sides could save money as there is no need to stay overnight.
