Yes potentially a good signing, he's played national league before and is a good age,

Kiddy finished as runners up in NLN only missing out on championship by losing last game. Played his part in a defence that kept 22 clean sheets.

Listen, I want the lad to do well and great players can be found in the lower divisions but... he's a bread and butter signing. Absolutely nothing flash. I mean I want him to have every centre forward we ever play against in his pocket but anyway... we'll see.

Welcome to the madhouse that is Pools, Reiss.

Hope your stay is a successful one- all we ask is that you follow the example set by Mr Thomas Parkes, alongside you, who is a Warrior!

Was in the Mail that there's a 6ft 9in defender available. Think it was a Midlands club had enough of him.

That, ll do nicely!

hope he isn,t flash as thats the last thing you want as thats the last thing you want in a defender. rather have him than somebody who has played in the league for years and is only with us for the money and do the minimum to get through games even if most fans have heard of him.

Good luck to the lad, Baldwin, Sterry were both plucked from lower level football, Molyneux hadn't had a stellar career. If he's chosen us over Carlisle then that's a promising sign imo.
Start judging him in 7 weeks time or so.

exactly. so many fans look at a player they have never seen to where his previous club was. sign from below our level they must be crap. sign from a league club they must be good and therefore the standard we expect. its not as if any new signings need to be world beaters to replace many who have gone. we finished 10th therefore any slightly better would have secured a play off position.

Decent signing, on paper at least, but then so have lots of others in the past. Good age, 40 games a season player, playing the full 90, which suggests consistency, in a decent Kidderminster side, who were managed by a manager, who was a half decent lower div CB in his day. Should link up well with Parkes.

that means just a shade over 6ft at the most. publicised heights of all players seem a bit hit and miss or is it the length of there studs that come into it.

This kind of decent prospect should be signed to provide competition with our first XI, also in the hope that we uncover a rare gem. That's not how I expect he's going to be used though. We are now relying on this type of gamble paying off and an awful lot of the time it doesn't.

Trouble is, over the past few seasons I’ve grown to lower my expectations of the standard of player signed in general…….yet some expect these players to bloom, …and even when they do don’t, aren’t put off. sctatchinghead

Conference north signing nowt to get all giddy about. Let's see if he cuts the mustard in a much tougher league. Some pools fans get all excited now at just about anything.

After watching that Scunthorpe v Chester final.
There's a major gulf in standards between div 5 n 6.

Darlo must be really shit if they can't get anywhere near the play offs.

That will most probably be our future without a takeover.

there will be players in both sides good enough for our level and some not. remember chester being the better side at the vic when we played them last. thought many of us were impressed with their keeper that day.
