Was also this, looks like we never offered him a deal then, similar to Mazfari.

If we had 8 like him and 3 like Mancini (fit) and Clearly then game over.

In his Video interview he said "Talks fizzeled out"

His best days probably behind him, but you can guarantee he'll give a world class performance at the Vic next season. Good luck to him.

Brilliant from the man. Deserves a great reception when he comes back to the Vic as a player. One thing's for sure - his part in the promotion season will never be forgotten by Poolies.

Quality class statement from Fergy.
Gets legend status from me as does any player who contributes in a Promotion season even from div 5.

Classy statement from Fergy who clearly loved being at our club, and good luck, but he was past his best and plenty were complaining he needed replacing or that he only got a game because we had no cover for his position.

I agree with him being past his best, but I think what worries me is at least he was available almost every week and could play centre back too if needed. A good squad player to have and if we replace him with someone with injury problems, letting him go will come back to bite.

On the retained list he was down as "offered a new contract". Given how much he clearly cares about the club we can only assume that the contract he was offered wasn't acceptable.

I can't for the life of me understand why we would keep Feathers on the books (even with the coaching angle) and let a more than decent versatile squad player go to our local rivals.

Good luck to him. I've always been a fan - even when he's looked knackered and was struggling he was always giving 100%

just hope all those who are supporting him now he has left were equally supportive of him when he played for us. seems like coming out of the divorce court and remembering the few goo times and forgetting the reasons you ended up there in the first place. honestly i for one aint going to miss him and its at least 12 months too late for me.
