When fit he was the talisman of the team. One game all the other Pools players just ran after him as he went forward and nearly every time a change was created.
Feel for the guy with the injury issues he has.
Perhaps he needs a specialist fitness coach / regime which you may only be able to get from a bigger club?

He was an enigma…like the saying goes to paraphrase it………..when he was good he was very, very good, but when he was bad….. he was indifferent.
When for that is… bbolt

Truth of the matter is that if he could play more than half a dozen games- he wouldn't be at Pools!

had he an injury problem before he came to us or just such an irratic performer league clubs were not interested in him. clubs want more all round players than they once did and mancini,s defending was shocking. possibly if stanley matthews was around now he,d be dropped if he had problems defending even with his attacking talent.

Heard a rumour he's having a trial at Gateshead. Was looking at Gatesheads first day back pics and there's a back of a head that looks a lot like Anthony.

It’s not going to get any better for Raj if Mancini ends up there. It’s like he’s got the reverse Midas touch.

How many of us tried to explain how bloody amazing Mancini was to none Poolies when he first arrived only to be met with "what the heck is he doing ay Pools then?". And then when he went twang for months and rip/tear for months and then slight twinge for months we went - ok, that explains that what he's doing at Pools then.

He's a cracking player when fit but he's made of glass. Fingers crossed, if he signs for the Heed he'll be out with a groin pull or a hernia (nothing too serious - I really like the lad) the two times they play us.

Ffs if Mancini joins Gateshead this will be the biggest self inflicted fuck up from Pools I can remember….offer him a contract ffs
At this level fans need something and one to cheer for, he could do stuff we hadn’t seen from a non-loan player for as long as I can remember, yet we let him go without even giving him a chance for a pre season, and we all know Gateshead will get 30 games out of him by managing him properly and he will be class

If you want occasional flashes of genius and a player with a poor fitness record, sign him up…but we’d be better served by a dependable workmanlike performer who can do a job.
Cameo roles are a luxury at this level.
Get over it and accept he’s gone….then move forward.

Sorry I know all about opinions but I think that’s an awful take…yeh let’s get in a boring dependable player that will really excite the fans….we have no one decent or exciting going fwd.
last year only Mancini and Cleary were worth watching, would much rather see that than a bunch of Joe averages plodding out another season in the bottom half

Behave, when I say workmanlike about an incoming player, it’s a compliment from me about a dependable player who’ll be a regular and part of any team to get promotion.
Comparing Mancini with Cleary is nonsense…he’s a workmanlike player to me…fit, and can do a job week in week out.
If you want promotion from any league you need a core team of dependable disciplined grafters who will get you over the line…not cameo artistes with intermittent appearances.
Face facts, his talents were undoubted bit infrequent and his injury problems were not likely to change into the foreseeable future…a luxury at this level where it’s a battle and constancy and derive are needed on the pitch.
You never get promoted on ‘delightful’ pirouettes …sometimes dreams overcome reality….to our disadvantage.
Sorry for being a hard nosed realist.
