Was reading an article about Andy Carroll, apparently he's quite happy just enjoying his football in France, not doing it for the money. I'm pretty sure he'd have enough about him to do well in this league.

I just cant see it. From the height of the Premiership to a non league joke club with next to no money and zero chance of promotion. If he wants to be in the North, I could imagine him signing for the likes of Carlisle or York, Northern clubs with a realistic chance of promotion but Pools? Nah.

his family by all accounts live in london so he could be looking down there for a club and has many more choices if they were interested.

James Bailey - 26 year old striker who’s scored 30+ goals the last 2 seasons at step 9 (4 below us) the last 2 seasons. Confused why we would deem Mazfari not good enough to offer a contract when he was excellent at the same level but would sign him?
Jack Young - a midfielder who’s out of contract so it would be permanent. From Morpeth but was at Wycombe after being released by Newcastle. Was on loan at Dorking Wanderers last season and seemed to do pretty well there judging on fans reactions to him being released by Wycombe.

Another I’ve heard is Reiss McNally, centre back just left Kidderminster.

regarding bailey and mararzi they are two different players playing in different positions and you cannot compare them. doubt any fan has seen either play especially bailey.

This. It would take a miracle to put together a decent team at this stage. Even if we somehow pulled it off, I personally would struggle to be invested. The fat man has soured it all.

We could have had new owners funding good league level players, but we're going to end up with budget options and a bottom half finish aren't we? Zero ambition for another season, not sure why anyone bothers.

And for what? He's not going to make a profit and he's not wanted, despite what some "poll" says. He talks about time wasters, yet is wasting the time of approximately 4,000 people. There are only so many years we get on this planet. Only so many years we get to support our football club. Yet we're wasting years in obscurity with some fake crumbs of ambition. The glory days of the early 2000s feel like a million years ago.

I don't think its time to panic yet. I think the time to panic is probably tomorrow when a professional football club goes back to training with basically a 5 aside match the best they can do. A junior football team is better prepared than us, embarrassing no matter what excuses some come up with for it.
