Another good statement. Despite being a MMA fan and even a Conor McGregor fan during the peak of his career. I would want him nowhere near Pools now.

A very sensible and well thought out statement

Guaranteed Raj will now opt for MacGregor just to spite them- assuming he EVER actually leaves.

I fear this as well... You would think he definitely has deeper pockets, which is all Raj will care about.

I hope you're right, but I think it may be wishful thinking. That statement from "the board" last month about how Herd had breached an NDA by commenting on the takeover, feels like a million years ago. "The board" have since shared quite a lot of info themselves, whether it's true or not is another story. I think Herd feel it's fair game at this point, though they are still choosing their words carefully of course.

can understand the statement but on the other hand it seems once a naughty boy always a naughty boy nowadays and its harder than ever to get your life back on track if you attempt to at least try to change yourself. does anyone seriously expect him to go round the ground or the town raping and assaulting everyone he sees.

It's not even just rape though. He's also been done for assault and dangerous driving. His own whisky company dropped him lol. To answer your question, no I don't think anyone expects him to go round the ground/town raping people, but I also understand why people, particularly women might heavily prefer him not to be involved.

One of my biggest concerns would be his general lack of stability. We might get an amazing few years out of him and his money, but he's a volatile guy and I could see him getting bored quickly and pulling the plug. It seems as though Shelley and co are trying to build something lasting. That would be my preferred choice.

This is assuming he would be a majority shareholder, its a consortium that is interested and he is the 'famous' person to get the deal over the line, today it was announced Gareth Bale was 'heading' a USA consortium for a Plymouth takeover I suspect this is a similar situation.

I don't even think MacGregor would have much input unless he is a majority shareholder. Birmingham made a noise about Tom Brady investing in the club but he only holds a 10% share and probably has no input on the running of the club.

That being said I would prefer Herd over McGregor's group it looks like they have the fan's interest at heart, on the surface at least

No, I wouldn’t expect him to go round raping and assaulting! But it’s the association which is questionable, to put it mildly. Fans of other clubs would have a field day for starters.
He clearly has anger management issues as well, and seems to get sent on a course every time there is a case against him. It doesn’t take a massive leap of imagination to envisaging him lashing out at fans if it’s not going well, especially if people are pissed/coked up.

So don't give him a chance incase he offends our coke/piss heads.
His investment could be the difference between success and permanent non league failure.

We can't afford to be picky.
We finished below 100th again last season in the football pyramid.

Anyhow there's no concrete evidence of anything coming of yet.

A little glimmer nothing more.

This saga to be continued.

To be fair, I was being a bit literal about whether Connor Mc would or could cause trouble. That's obviously highly unlikely, it's more the association with a controversial character I'm more worried about. And you're right, it's just another rumour and even if he did invest, how often would he attend - about as much as Ryan Reynolds at Wrexham probably.

If McGregor come to Singh with an offer acceptable to him he would have no qualms about selling Pools to him, that’s business, money talks.

Joining Radgy as part owners or a clean slate.
Or Radgy fully gone with Kelly as Chairman and Owner.

Metaphorically speaking like as obviously you won't know 100%.

Maybe Fridays the day.
