The Scots have made a big statement about Reform in the Hamilton by-election.

Hamilton was a close run thing. Reform could easily have come 1st and Labour 3rd.

My view is, Reform can take heart from their result, Labour dodged a bullet, the shit would've hit the fan had they lost that, and the SNP should be the most disappointed, though as is the way in UK politics, all parties are talking it up as a victory for them. The moral victory was Reforms on the night IMO.

wonder if the result would have been different if the candidate was not a member of the scottish labour party but one of starmers westminster allies. labour fortunes in scotland have improved since the formation of scottish labour as it was under the old system that gave the SNP there days in the sun.
