How can Raj come out of this other than looking like a Kunt.
Surely No fan is going to put a penny beyond the turnstiles?

You wouldn't have thought that many would have voted for him to stay but the emotional ties make protest and boycotts really tricky. I agree though, a line has been crossed when he blackmailed the fanbase and there will surely be a huge drop in crowds and increased hostility.

Agreed. He/the club have been caught in several dozen lies already over the last few months, why on earth would the vote have been conducted honestly?

Exactly as it should be your choice.

I will always support pools but from afar, But not financially. However if someone were to takeover i would, Whilst they were finding their feet.

The picketers will outnumber the Scabs.

A shameful outcome really created by one person.

Heard from a club mole that he has no intention of selling the club.
What a sad mess has been created.

I've suspected this to be the case for sometime (I think we all have). He has had plenty of opportunity to offload but he always finds a way out or an excuse not to. Think it's going to be death by a 1000 cuts.

Come on Raj, if you're staying, cut the bullshit State your intentions-

Are you happy with a mid table conference outfit, is this as good as it gets for us now? Did you ever intend on selling up?
What will it take for you to leave? Have you paid the HMRC and if you are still intending to sell- why the hold up?

A football club owner like this is like a man who buys a car he really can’t afford to service and maintain or thinks he knows better than the mechanic and does it himself..
Result…engine bits allover the road eventually.

The keeping these due diligence deposits is more than enough evidence that he's played/mugged potential new owners.

I reckon the few who think we genuinely still up for sale need to go to the doctors.. :angry-tappingfoot: therethere

but on matchdays do we think of raj when going into the ground or think our money is going straight into his pocket. if our first game of the season is at home plenty will turn up if only to be nosy on the standard of the new players we have signed. those who will be doing there own boycott will be quickly back if by some miracle he team is performing far better than expected with favourable reports about games. We are Hartlepool United not AFC Raj Singh.

I think you're dead right. There might still be 2500-3000 there at the start of the season (or 4130 as the club calls it) but that's thousands off where we could easily be.
No chance I'm going near the place until he's gone. I didn't really go to home games last season until near the end when a takeover seemed possible.
New owner - I'll be straight in for a season ticket.

I have sympathy with both sides of the argument but lean on the idea that all this controversy and opinion is just dividing the fans and I'm dead against that.
I have always maintained that Raj would go when he decided to and nothing seems to have altered on that front.
Maybe he is concerned that new owners will be successful which will tar him more as the villain in the eyes of the fans.
The big question is how much more hate, hurt and division will be generated before the issue is resolved, if it ever is.
I'd like to see us Poolies on here show respect for each other's decisions and opinions and send the message that we are one and united. I know that is wishful thinking but at least we can try and avoid fuelling division.
I can't find fault with the argument of the people who want to boycott, nor can I find fault with those who want to continue supporting their team.
They are all Poolies together and Raj Singh, or anybody else should not be allowed to break, or even dent, the bond between us and our team.

the vast majority of us are still united whether we boycott or continue to watch live. its hard to imagine a single fan turning up for the love of the clubs owner but they will also feel he is not going to take there club away from them. Hopefully the club shop and the food and drinks outlets are empty with no customers until the first game after he does go.

I won't be going to any home games or buying any merchandise from the club shop until he's fucked off.

However I will endeavour to see more away games, to support the team/ collection of misfits we manage to assemble. Would take 5th bottom NOW- if it were on offer- which is a really sad state of affairs given my normal blind optimism. I just don't see how we can have a remotely good season - given the circumstances banghead

Southend were mentioned in today's Prime Minister's Question Time. They were congratulated for having recovered from situation left by a dodgy owner andreaching aWembley playoff. The PM was asked if something could be done to stop such owners from repeating what happened at Southend from happening again. Typically KS sidetracked but the problems caused by the likes of Raj is in the public arena.

Fat chance while comments like 'The picketers will outnumber the Scabs' are being made on here - by people who won't be on an imaginary picket line or going to a game - just sat at home with their feet up watching the match on a dodgy stick

I won't be buying a season ticket, for the first time in I don't know how many years. But I will be at the first home game of the season, along with about 3,000 other Poolies.
Won't be buying anything once I'm inside the ground, but there'll be 11 lads in blue and white to support - the actual Hartlepool United. The poor buggers will probably need all the encouragement they can get.

One theory I heard was that Raj needed Darlo to fold as it was easier for him to cover his tracks (allegedly). Same for us hence the NDA's and cost of DD which must be a nightmare for him (allegedly). After all he made his money by charging the elderly, the ill and the dying a fortune. What's not to trust about this man?

I can easily believe Raj is trying to hide something, but surely if he's agreed to due diligence he must know someone else's accountants and solicitors will find it, then I'm sure it would be very easy to use that as leverage against him. I don't think Raj is that stupid.
It's more likely he's trying to get a better price by misrepresenting things. That's just wild speculation, I don't understand accounting and finance.
I still think things are ongoing just by the lack of information saying it's not.
Business people are queer fuckers generally, they think differently to most people. Im hoping it's just business bollocks that's holding things up

I don't think Raj can be seen to fold Pools as well as the loids- I don't think even he is that stupid.

That would surely lead to a root and branch inquiry into all of his business dealings and very much doubt he'd want to risk that.

He's just playing a massive game of call my bluff, which he can do because we're all emotionally invested. This is ultimately why people have buckled, that's assuming that ridiculous vote was actually real.

Raj has said that due diligence has been ongoing but the money to buy the club hasn't been deposited to meet deadlines. To me that suggests that the prospective buyers either haven't completed their DD or they've turned up something they're not happy with and a renegotiation is ongoing.
No announcement or suggestion the deal is dead surely means it's still ongoing? The Consortium deal was declared dead publicly and quickly, so maybe no news is good news. We certainly need to be making some moves on the playing side in the next couple of weeks though.

Suggests to me that Raj wants to apply pressure and hurry things along. Scared of the scrutiny? Or just wasn't imagining being around this long paying bills and stuff? Or is he prepping a BS laden screeching U turn, once again ready to frame the buyer as the party at fault.

Southend were mentioned in today's Prime Minister's Question Time. They were congratulated for having recovered from situation left by a dodgy owner andreaching aWembley playoff. The PM was asked if something could be done to stop such owners from repeating what happened at Southend from happening again. Typically KS sidetracked but the problems caused by the likes of Raj is in the public arena.

on top of that a local mp is getting involved with the ownership issue at sheff.wed which sounds very similar to us with an unpopular owner unwilling to sell them. thi mp wants him to sell the club as quickly as possible to the highest bidder for the sake of the fans.

I believe if it was dead in the water then a buyer would post "We Tried", Simple as that.

However if there is more than 1 proposed buyer then Raj could be playing highest bidder.
Daft as that.

How can Raj come out of this other than looking like a Kunt.
Surely No fan is going to put a penny beyond the turnstiles?

Sadly people are still going to. Watching the club die a slow death seems appealing to some it seems!

Yes,the ones who were happy that Ryan Reynolds didn’t take over,as the club would become a circus!

Yes, But the circus left town, And left the CLOWNS behind.

You DO NOT hand over the rest of the money UNTIL a deal has been completed.

Its not unusual for DD to unearth something, Then a compromise is made and a deal can move forward.

That would be my take as well. Other clubs have recently had takeovers and statements have been issued saying it's ongoing and positive. The owner and buyer are also stated to be working together in the interim. Something along those lines would be very welcome! Raj being Raj though - not a chance of any humility or common sense.

None of the previous bidders have done it…..I even doubt they actually exist sometimes.
