From Nick Loughlin @Nick_Loughlin on X

POOLS NEWS: A consortium is in the process of launching a fresh bid to take control at Pools. Chris Turner and Russ Green - who both are well versed in the club over the years are part of a large North East company which hopes to buy Pools, invest in the club and town and get things on a welcome upward curve to improve fortunes and get the feelgood factor back. There is a confidence about this bid - they have the desire, drive and financial clout.
Chris and Russ have, of course, been at Pools during the good times and know full well what it takes to get success and know exactly what it looks like.

Also, interesting announcing you have financial clout when you want to negotiate with Raj.
Just feels like this could drag things out further. Someone give me a nudge when it’s all done.

Wasn't Russ Green involved in JPNG taking over pools? Just thinking out loud...

Loughlin is a joke- I'm not a fan.
Will never forgive or forget his insufferable brown nosing of Dave Jones and Coxberg at that awfully contrived press conference- Sausage Sandwich Gate.

I'm surprised he got away with it for as long as he did at the Echo - as his basic command of the English language for a so called journalist was frankly embarrassing.

Think we need to keep our collective powder dry, until we know if the current ongoing deal is a non goer.

Yeah, I've never valued Loughlins opinion after he was tongue deep up Coxhalls arse. It was horrific.

Getting daft now. I think we should let everything just wash over us. The only certainty is we've got Raj and we would like him to sell.

*correction, not getting daft, getting DAFTER.

Daft just about sums it up. If I was making up a story though I'd make it much more elaborate than Hartlepool throwbacks Russ and Chris (and their imaginary made up large company). I'd say it was George Clooney and Jürgen Klopp for example - maybe doing it for a bet with Deadpool bloke. So whoever has made this shite up is showing a complete, dull lack of creativity.

We need to wait to see what the latest reincarnation of P&B/ crazy bird suggests, before completely ignoring his bullshit.

I’d look favourably on a joint bid by Adolf Hitler and Stalin at this stage. :angry-tappingfoot:

Same, he's a shit stirrer as well, he's had a beef with Pools for a few years now and normally never misses an opportunity to have a dig at anything Pools related.
Having said all that, he's taking a big risk by naming them so maybe there's something in it, personally I'd love Russ Green and Chris Turner to be involved in running the club. Turner turned the club around in his first spell here and Green was a great on the commercial side.

Why so much negativity about what Loughlin posted on X ?Definitely the type off people I would prefer to be involved with Pools as they know the ins and outs of the club. The biggest issue is how much investment can they generate to fund Pools to get some half decent players in, would they retain Limbrick as the manager, I doubt it.

The rumour of being stuck with Raj is something I CAN believe. Stand by for the utter BS excuses AGAIN, swallowed completely by his minions and puppets of course.

Jamie- I've already explained why I don't like/ rate Loughlin. He sold us out when his job was to ask the difficult questions on our (the fanbase's) behalf- he cosied up to the shit show that was Coxberg and the odious Dave Jones, for a few freebies instead. He's an embarrassment, not to mention as thick as fuck. Let's be honest he's not exactly been missed by anybody since he was axed by the Echo.

Cannot see how he can show his face again, Thats why i think he will sell.

More and more people saying Raj just isn’t leaving. If we’re stuck with him for longer now, I think as a fanbase we need to reflect on that vote. Can’t blame anyone for voting either way but clearly Raj now thinks he can claim a mandate based on a vote held with 24hrs notice, no choices and no independence.
It would have been better to send a signal that we want him out, not limping on. If he sticks around, next season is going to be another level of angry.
And those propping him up - show some backbone and call him out. If you love the club as you say you do, stand up for it rather than enabling this bullshit.
And all this while there is, apparently, an offer still on the table. This new Turner thing is just an utter irrelevance in my view.

the whole affair is getting boring and tedious now and feel once the season starts the only new name we,ll see is a new honourary president

I have in the past, I used to subscribe to it online, they were more interested in Newcastle, Sunderland and The Boro. Since Loughlin left for whatever reason Pools reports were always out of date and match reports took forever to be posted.

The first time I heard of Loughlin was when he was co-commentating on a Pools game. Devante Rodney was playing for us and I think he was only 19 (correct me if I am wrong), Loughlin totally ripped the piss out of the lad, he didn't have a particularly great game but the way Loughlin tore into him and the club was borderline uncomfortable to listen to, I thought who is this negative prick, have they accidently got a Darlo fan to commentate on the game. He doesn't come across as a fan of Pools, he is a doom merchant, I wouldn't trust a word that comes out of his mouth.

He might leave it in his will to his son.
A payback for getting a good hiding organised by one of our players allegedly.
Think it's on the Graeme Lee state of play podcast.
