The story goes that he was out of his head on drugs and drink and got in his car. He then attempts a short cut and follows an ambulance through a temporary barrier and frustrated tried to get past it and ended up running into people.

So why have the police obtained an extension to question him for a further 48 hours if it’s such an open and shut case?

There’s a rabbit off here.

I thought that strange too, why would you need to apply for an extension to question a guy who was effectively caught in the act observed by hundreds of witnesses and subdued by emergency services, not as if he could claim "hey it wasn't me".

No. The Police need a further two days to question him which is exactly my point. Given. the evidence - there is no shortage of witnesses after all, why have they not yet charged him? What else and who else is involved?

Maybe he was that much out of it on drugs they need more time to question him and make sure the case against him is water tight.
I don't see no rabbits off here....I see the Police doing their job.

He must have been taking elephant drugs…..although in fairness to the police, now they have to cover every factor so some smart arse lawyer can’t find a cop out….so expect a delay.

remember one small mistake made by them or the cps will see a guilty man walk with the help of a smart barrister if only on a technicality.

Are they waiting to confirm what the charge will be? I guess depending what happens to the injured it may change the charges to Causing Death by Dangerous Driving

He joined the marines in 1990

1991 joined 43 Comnando

43 Commando are the naval fleet protection squad based in Scotland

Most likely the drugs affected him, not PTSD

Doesn’t mean you’re you’re permanently in Jockland.

Lots of inaccuracies there…

He passed out in 92, 613 troop so probably joined in 91 although 1990 isnt out of the question.
After passing out he went straight to 45 Commando in Arbroath. It’s possible that he was then drafted to 43 but will definitely have done a few tours in Afghan / Iraq with 45 Commando.

This from the OAMAAM website. Membership is limited to serving and former marines and attached arms. Vetting is done via Lympstone (Commando Training Centre)

Quote:
Gentlemen, there’s no apparently to it. This bloke passed out with 613 troop and went to 45 from training. He’s not a Walt or someone who failed training. He’s a genuine Bootneck.
