Thats about it you can maybe add below who can compete

Solihull/Eastleigh---Bank rolled but offset by awful crowds
Morecambe (parachute payments)
Sutton (parachute payments)
Scunthorpe (promoted to feel good and good crowds)

Everyone else with minimal investment based on the crowds we have we should be able to compete with and in a lot of cases be a lot heavier backed .. Lets see what happens!

Think its more a case of identifying 4 worse teams than us- plus a wing and a prayer

It's not the amount of money it's how you use it, York probably the highest budget for the last 2 seasons under the Uggla's nearly relegated last season but a lot better this.
Can't argue you've got a better chance with more money though there's no guarantees.
Gotta expect the worst and if we achieve mediocrity we won't be disappointed.

Ideally you get the budget right and the manager right.
A balance of the two is needed.

in a normal season loyal would be about right. however things are now different and you could be closer to the truth. the only thing that might save us to have a decent season is signing battling players who do what they do against us. out battle to gain the points. every game we have not won showed the opposition were hardly world beaters with players footballing ability no better than ours. one thing they all had is they played strongly as a team and never seem to be carrying anybody.

You would think Braintree, Truro, Brackley, Boston and possibly even Morecambe, would give Pools a chance of avoiding the drop. I think Pools might be in a scrap but doubt they'll go down, but as Accy suggests, one thing you'll get from those teams mentioned, is that what they lack in ability they'll make up for in spirit and organisation, nous and dark arts, things that Pools usually lack, save for Parkes and Sheron.

Wealdstone also skint, and Tamworth cant punch above their weight forever--overall there is plenty of shite in this division, which makes where we are even more inexcuseable.

one thing in our favour and for the other sides is apart from york there are no real bankrolled clubs in our division. something that seems to have died a death now with owners throwing cash at clubs with poor fan bases.
