"Mr Singh has confirmed that he will continue to engage with all interested parties around investment and takeover, without recent timescale pressures."

Make of that sentance what you will.
The retained list was also posted on line and then removed.

BREAKING 63% of Hartlepool United's season ticket holders have voted for Raj Singh to step in to support the club.
The owner has confirmed that he will "continue to engage with all interested parties around investment and takeover, without recent timescale pressures."

The only way forward wether you like Singh or not, at least Pools are still a going concern and saleable, if the other option was taken up how were Pools going to be funded in the close season with no income or funds to buy players.
All we can hope for is a deal to be sorted out, maybe Singh was hoping for a no vote and he could have walked away ?

Update on Season Ticket Holder Survey
The Club can confirm that the season ticket holder survey has now been completed, and that all data submitted online was collected and processed by an external independent source to the Club.

The data has been carefully verified against all valid adult unique bar code numbers and any false or duplicate entries have become null and void.

In the event that multiple tickets were purchased on one account, the link was sent to the lead party using the email address registered on the ticketing system. This link was open for all adult season ticket holders to access using their own unique barcode numbers.

A number of supporters who were unable to vote online made contact with the club to submit their vote manually.

63% (almost two thirds) of season ticket holders who voted, have voted Mr Singh to step in to support the Club.

The Club will now work with Mr Singh to implement funding and plans for the 2025/26 season, with the aim that Hartlepool United remains stable and competitive.

Mr Singh has confirmed that he will continue to engage with all interested parties around investment and takeover, without recent timescale pressures.

Further updates will be provided in due course.

I

I wonder how many people voted, I'm a season ticket holder and refuse to take part in this ridiculous charade. I have always believed the current owner does not want to sell the club so whether or not we are a going concern is unimportant. If you think we will be buying players in the close season under the current owner your deluded, if the owner wanted to walk away he didn't need to have a vote and if he does intend to sell he certainly won't be walking away

Rigged or not what’s the alternative, it’s 10 years since Dario went into admin or what ever, they are still in the Conference League North. Is that what Pools fans want just to get rid of Singh, I don’t.
If a sale doesn’t go through Pools will have problems attracting new players, we will be at the bottom of any players choice who might be thinking at anytime Pools go to the wall and probably take wage cut to a more secure club.

I don't think the issue is about the alternative, it's about the complete fucking charade of the process. It stinks.

This paragraph tells you everything you need to know about the lack of neutrality of the ballot.

Quote:
63% (almost two thirds) of season ticket holders who voted, have voted Mr Singh to step in to support the Club.

Even though the ballot was clearly rigged they still felt the need to overegg the result by talking it up.

And we have 10 players left and no strikers. Again a lack of continuity contributes to a worse season next year. stinks of the post promotion pre season and also when the hapless Scot was recruited. Whoever manages has no real chance to produce a good squad.

Everyone who voted will have disappointed those who voted for or wanted the opposite.
When you're in the lifeboat in the middle of the oggin you don't vote to throw away the last oar no matter how ropey it is.
Totally agree it's a complete farce, if he wants to carry on he could've without the sideshows. And, I'm sure whatever abuse he was getting won't stop after the vote. So in reality f*ck all changed apart from more division and anger among the supporters.

No, you eat the useless helmsman….the one steering you to safety…allegedly.
Voting ‘YES’ really won’t save anything, just another grand gesture as empty as our prospects.

My yes vote was purely on the basis of staying in NL a no vote might have meant extinction and the possibility I'd never see another game at that level again in my lifetime.
All about opinions and perspectives and Raj driving bigger wedges between the fans.

For the record, I voted 'No' in both the official vote and also the impromptu Bunker vote. I am pig sick of Singh and his juvenile antics. I"m also pissed off with the prospective new owners (if they actually existed) for not directly communicating with the Pools fanbase and outlining the prime reasons for not ensuring that the requisite monies were not put in place. I'm clinging to the hope that a genuine offer will yet be made and Singh will yet be history. .

However, the fact is that we will never have a better opportunity to be rid of Singh, those that voted 'yes' have ensured that he retains control of the club and will presumably guarantee the sale of 63% of of ST's.

Having released 10 players, Singh and his recruitment team now have the task of finding adequate or better replacements with 37% less of last season's budget. Good luck with that.

It will be interesting to see if Singh makes any attempt to win back the disgruntled, disheartened and totally pissed off 30%of the fanbase by retaining the likes of Mani, Grey etc in addition to recruiting a decent number of quality players - good luck with that too.

I fear the same!
Buying a season ticket could mean viewing a tortuous 23 match relegation battle. Paying per game gives one the right to walk away and go shopping with the wife instead.

It probably worked out ok to be honest. Big enough number voted no but there’ll be no tricky discussions about funding. The bigger number still is in all probability the number who didn’t vote or spoiled their vote. We’ll never know though.

How do you know a big enough number voted…?…you’ve aroused my interest now.

And just how exactly did it work out ok, opinion on here could safely be interpreted as regarding it as a …’Fucking disaster’.

Everyone can have an opinion, but there’s usually a counter opinion and clutching at straws comes to mind.

Nothing wrong with clutching at straws when there's no real alternative imo.
I'll never ever be for starting afresh under any circumstances, we've fought too many times in the past to avoid it.

Badly phrased - I meant big enough percentage. If it had been 90% there would have been quite a lot of chest beating going on.

Chest beating ….? Nothing there to be chest beating about.
But how did it ‘work out ok’ for who?

No chance Mani D will be staying. He said his goodbyes to the fans at the end of the FGR game.

Joe Grey and Sheron might be persuadable if they get really good offers from the club - but what are the chances of that? Fergie is on record as saying he's desperate to stay, but even he hasn't signed his new contract yet. No doubt the money on offer is the issue.

Opinion on here amounts to a poll of 64 people.

It definitelty represents a swing against Raj on the Bunker - in that some people who were prepared to support him in the recent past joined others who have wanted him out for years.

But Pools' average home gate is 3,500. How many of the 64 who voted on here even go to games? Half? Two-thirds?

To turn your question to Mikey on its head, how do you know that "opinion on here" is representative of the fanbase? If it is, Raj will be lucky if 1500 turn up to the first home game. How likely is that?

You might have a point if the margin was small, but it was not.

You do come across as a prickly bugger you know! :)
If you’re someone who wants Raj to move on, you want him to know that. At the same time, we really could do without the challenge of funding things for presumably a few weeks, while Due Diligence is concluded. (Raj is the one who said the takeover is still carrying on.)
If Raj had won by a Putin-esque amount, he would be chest beating.
Does that make anything any clearer?
