Especially the end, not sure I would want another season of stagnation beholden to the chairman with the current relationship between chairman and fans, others may have a different view but I think we are a step
Closer to a new club….which could be preferable to more of the same

I wonder who on ‘the board’ is drafting these releases

Raj will expect the fans to kiss his ring and then he will be the saviour. And if they don’t then he’ll kill the club and blame the fans. There’s the options.

What a joke. Every season he finds a new way. So let's ask the 250 season ticket holders knowing what the outcome will be. We'll that's me done once and for all. Shock horror he is going to get his maulers on any season ticket money and if he doesn't be adios pools.

That’s how I read. They’ll be pressure to buy season tickets too.

It’s strange that the opinions of fans are now so critical to him, it seems like a ploy.

Wouldn’t surprise me that if he stayed on and it gets worse he will now have the excuse “you wanted me to stay so it’s your fault”

Apparently we are already well behind. Funny that the play off season we only had about 6 weeks to prepare yet here we are now way behind and it's only May. Imagine having to put up with these losers for another year. A massive clear out of the hangers on was needed and new life, yet we're going to be held to ransom so he can blame the fans for his ineptitude of running football clubs.

He just desperately wants us all to say "thank you" and love him for saving out club.

Unfortunately he hasn't done anything to deserve that since Dave C pissed off to pastures greener.

I'd like to say I'm shocked by this statement- but sadly I'm not.

Raj clearly doesn't want to sell- he just wants to be wanted by the mad few who have already paid up to ask him to stay- . I knew he was thin skinned but now we know he's made of Izal.

So we're now left with a straight of choice of Izal, OR Shitty Hand/ Arse?! :angry-screaming:

Basket case of a club, justifying why many have already sacked them off in recent years. Amateurish and childish, even the club statements look as though they could have been written by a 10 year old.

its always fans are this and that and its us to blame. doubt we are unique in our fears and hopes and cannot imagine a single fan base acting differently than what we are doing. nobody is asking for championship football in 5 seasons but just some stability to give us a fighting chance of getting a promotion next season but not demanding it. since the first days he walked into the club raj has been crying out for financial help to run the club. his problem is he wants to be top dog and the money he recieved would need the person to sit down and shut up once the cheque has gone through the bank.

Jeff Stelling confirms this, he put in £100k as part of Raj’s initial takeover to get it over the line, but he’s now being kept completely out of the loop and hearing the updates at the same time as us.

This ⬆️ is bang on. Before Singh got involved at HUFC he was sniffing around Darlo for a take two. The deal was that he would hold 51% of the club then others (fans/trust/individuals/others) would hold the balance. However his holding was always going to give him the whip hand over everyone else's money, and as a further question it was never said what was expected of all the volunteers who work so hard for no pay. Incidentally, at a fans forum a question was asked to Martin Gray about if Singh would go 51/49% the other way and the answer was a resounding no.

Luckily enough it fell through and he got sent packing, although some at the time were hoodwinked.

So yes, he does want to be top dog, yet he expects others to chip in on a large scale.

If some one was interested in buying Pools why did they not have the funds in place before making an offer, you wouldn’t put an offer in for a property if you didn’t have the funds in place. It’s the first thing the estate agent asks, can you prove you have the funds to proceed.

Everyone who's bought will vote for him to continue I'd imagine, who's going to buy one then vote for lower league football or even liquidation?

From HUST.

Dear Members

Yesterday’s statement from the club board was one of the most unusual we’ve ever seen from a professional football club. Unfortunately, there is too much at stake for us all not to take it seriously.

The first issue worth considering is why would the owner behave this way at a crucial stage of a takeover deal? The answer probably lies in due diligence itself. Teams of lawyers and accountants are currently going through Pools’ books with a fine-toothed comb and what they find will have an impact on the final price of the club. If the deal collapses many will assume that it was because something unexpected was discovered unless some of the mud being thrown at the potential buyer sticks.

Fans have to decide if they trust Raj Singh, and what he says about the potential buyer, in these circumstances. During the previous takeover attempts HUST was wrongly accused of breaches of NDAs and not having funds – this looks like more of the same old tricks to us.

Next comes the potential buyer. If that potential buyer is Shelley Hammond, as many are suggesting, then we know her well. She was in the consortium alongside HUST for both attempted takeovers last year and was energetic, resourceful, supportive, and full of ideas throughout. Her passion for Pools, commitment to uniting supporters by involving them in running their club, and love of the town all shone through. As far as personal wealth goes, we have no idea about Shelley other than she seems to have done alright. As far as access to legitimate, substantial funds goes we’re very confident that she has what is needed to buy Pools and further funds to take us forward. She is certainly ambitious.

It's worth adding that although Shelley knows that we have a good sum of money available to invest in Pools she hasn’t asked us about the possibility of investing in any current deal. Surely anybody short of funding would ask a previous partner to help?

If you need another opinion, independent of HUST, on the potential buyer have a look at Jeff Stelling’s reasons for resigning as club president.

Finally, we should look at the quite remarkable idea of a vote for fans to decide whether to accept funding from a multi-millionaire who already owns the club. This is nothing more than a transparent attempt to blackmail fans and divide them at a crucial time. We’re being told to say we love Raj or he’ll stop funding the club. It’s hard to understand how any Pools fan can defend him behaving that way.

If the vote goes ahead, and that’s a huge if, how can it be seen as fair? Only fans who bought a season ticket for the last two years can vote – what about the poorer fans, the exiles, fans who work variable shifts, and those suffering ill-health who can’t get to every game? How many of the South East Poolies who do so much fund raising and passionately support Pools at away games down south have season tickets? The only detail we can be sure about so far confirms that the process will once again create a hierarchy of good and bad fans, something which is never healthy.

It also looks like the vote won’t be conducted independently. The club owned by Raj will send the emails and then count the votes to see if the fans back Raj. It’s the sort of arrangement that could easily lead to a 110% vote in favour of the man who organised the vote!

To sum up – we don’t trust Raj, from bitter experience we know not to. We think there is a very credible buyer with the funds that the club needs who can be trusted. The ‘supporters’ vote is just a stunt and another step towards making the club we love into a laughing stock. Let’s see further details and find out if it actually goes ahead before deciding on how to handle it.

These are difficult, turbulent times and all Poolies are finding the current chaos stressful. However, the club statement does say that they’ll continue to try to conclude a deal. That would be excellent news for us all, let’s hope it happens soon.

Never say die!

The HUST Board

Yes he has made a short statement. He states quite categorically that the interested party has not deposited the funds as yet. I think that scenario of depositing funds is a requirement of the league we grace so wonderfully.
That being the case the interested party is entitled to either confirm or deny. So which is it????
I'm fed up of watching this merry go round.
As for this referendum on should he stay or should he go it is quite frankly farcical.
He doesn't appear to want to take the club forward but doesn't appear to want anybody else to do so either. A decision has to be made one way or the other, it is as simple as that. The ball is in his court, always has been and always will be. All the rest is simply hot air.
The only answer open to us, that is the general support and not just the season ticket holders, is to continue to back the club or walk away until he decides where he is prepared to take us or leaves.
When the situation becomes crystal clear, if it ever does, I will consider giving my support or not. At the moment I am staying away from the Vic and will continue until.................................
So come on Mr Singh, make yer mind up.

I'm always really impressed with the HUST statements. Balanced, reasonable, knowledgeable.

This all kicked off when the potential buyer had the gall to make a public statement alluding to a purchase. In no way was it insulting or critical, of Raj. BUT the thin skinned Rajster does not like anything that is not under his control, so he throws his toys out the pram. Again.

Remember he 'walked away ' (in a circle it looks like) because he was criticised by the fans. I remember Gary Gibson being physically guarded by stewards, so the criticism was mild Raj.

So now he wants to save the club (again) but only if the fans say pretty pretty please sir and vote for him. In an vote run by him. Bizarre.

If he stays I think the fans will vote with their feet and wallets.

Shit or get off the pot Raj. Time to leave with a shred of honour and not ruin a second NE football club.

I get the feeling he’s here for life sometimes…like someone who’s always been successful in the past in business but now encountered something that he can’t get to work and is determined to make it work before jumping ship……but …….sometimes in life you have to learn to accept failure along with success, those two fickle outcomes that can frustrate or lift you.
Time to go and call it a day, you can’t win em all.

Raj is supposed to be a successful businessman. He clearly is - to have gone from an off licence in Redcar to owning a plane.

But how much did he lose at Darlo?

How much will he stand to lose at HUFC - or is he working on the basis of getting the tax losses via CA18 to reduce the pain to a degree?

over the years how many businessmen who make a success out of everything they touch fall foul once they buy and run football clubs. cannot be a coincidence, but in there business they have the knowledge but feel in football there decisions are caused by others involved in the clubs due to there lack of it.
