Oh dear, what a pity

Just goes to show it's no bad thing to have a warm up game in the play-offs - same as Pools when we went up. Sounds as if York were caught cold after their long lay-off from competitive games.

funny as fook for their idiot fans--amount of money their owner has spunked as well is eye watering.

Though them and Carlisle likely going at it at the top next year, battle of the inbreds!

I went to a game there (York) a couple of years back and they'd made a last minute change to where certain fans (including us) were placed and cocked everything up. Possibly 70 odd fans were left stranded, desperately queuing up at the ticket office to get their tickets changed so they could get in, meanwhile kick off rapidly approached. It was truly a shit experience. Nobody worked for the club, nobody was bothered, everyone passed the buck. "Nowt to do with me mate, go to the ticket office" etc

Just at the last minute they told us we could go to where we should have been in the first place but when we got to our seats the stewards hadn't been told and they tried to kick us out - at this I went a bit full on pissed off and told them I wasn't moving anywhere unless they threw me out.

York were awful tonight. No shape and no plan B. I can't remember them having a single decent shot on goal and even when they they went 0-3 down they were still trying (and failing) to pass it out from the back. Keeper to left back. Back to keeper. Keeper to right back. Back to keeper. It was like the bloody Chuckle brothers. To me. To you. To me. To you.

This league really is a bastard to get out of. I just hope we're in it and competing next season.

Let's hope that Saafend put a pitchfork through the FGR veggies tomorrow. An Oldham Vs Saafend final, two traditional, well supported clubs going head to head, either worthy of a place in L2.

thats the only reason i feel a bit sorry for york. hate the play offs even if we succeeded in them. you play 46 games a season to gain promotion and it should be decided on that and not having a good couple of end of season games or one nightmare performance where its denied to you.

One of my few away trips was to York in 2017. We paid for a hospitality box and ended up in a Portacabin behind the stand. We ended up drinking warm bottled beer and packets of crisps. I said never again.

Tippy Tappy football taking 10 passes to get to the halfway line.
Oldhams press was excellent.

If a team plays a high press and are good at it, WHY would you want to play out from the back.
Coaches use stats now and not their eyes.

just shows at this standard how easy it is to snuff sides out who insist on playing that way and have no plan b. the commontators made me laugh by saying hinshelwood refused to change his philosophy making it a good thing only to see him lose the game due to it.

fashion because they play that way in the premier league. even they cock it up at that level but coaches refuse to change. wait till a team wins everything playing crazy gang wimbledon type of football. they will all start doing that.
