An equally drab 0-0 against a FGR made up of fringe players and first teamers taking it easy before the play offs. A fitting way to end another shit season.

the referee will be busy dishing out yellow cards for players not making an effort and bringing the game into disrepute. glad it aint being played on saturday as i.d pop up to hopefully see the last of a number of players in a pools shirt. must be the first time i have no interest in a pools win or a FGR defeat.

I was considering but I’ve got a knife in the fork drawer that needs sorting and will be more entertaining.

End of the season and nothing to play for, but there's no way I won't be there.

The longer this deathly silence goes on, the more likely it is that the unthinkable happens and Pools get wound up.

The Deal Done thread is a bad joke; nearly as bad as the idea that a significant number of season ticket holders will renew while the 'interim board' is (allegedly) in charge. I won't, not while no playing squad and no future is just around the corner.

But just in case Saturday does turn out to be Pools last match, I'm not missing it.

I wonder if the word "pulsating" will be used by the commentators?

Same here, and it's looking more and more likely as the silence goes on, I'm not entirely sure that many people realise just how potentially serious this is.

Information about the Clubs future is of more concern to me rather than this game.
Talk about the Sound of Silence, it’s deafening.
Even a sinking ship makes a noise as it breaks up, but we are ignored and treat with a complete lack of respect.
I don’t like it …..or trust anything or anyone….silence does that..

I don't think it's ever been this quiet before with a sizeable club on the brink of going out of existence. Would be fucking laughable if it wasn't so tragic. Our new nickname should be the Mushrooms - we've been kept in the dark and had shit thrown over us for years by Raj Singh banghead

Just hope the bastad isent trying to negotiate a shit load of debt drip feeded to him over a long period.
That would kill us forever

Needs to do the right thing and call it a clean slate as he won't of lost a penny during his ownership.
Just Fcuk off ASAP with the minimum of respect.

The rumours around the time of the failed Consortium takeover seemed to be around him taking a deal which included future repayments from league and cup success and player sales, pretty much what Coxhall left wasn't it?
A similar arrangement if it keeps us in NL would be fine imo, hopefully allowing buyer to invest in the playing side.

Me too - whilst accepting that Pools are hardly a club rarely in the national spotlight, it is strange that apart from Stelling junior in the Hartlepool Fail and occasional references on Radio Borer as far as I'm aware no other media, local or otherwise have made reference to Pools current position. Also, I would have expected the likes of Stelling Senior and certain former players and managers to be becoming vocal if the end is indeed nigh. Thoughts anyone?

Think that's a fair comment SJ
Raj is clearly trying to wring every last drop out of the deal, though we would know by now if it had all fallen through - as Raj himself would have come out and said so.

Assuming funds HAVE been proved/ deposited, as that old line was regularly trotted out as well, and Raj (or the 'interim board', as he calls himself) haven't mentioned that for weeks.

Will be interesting to find out who is present in the posh seats at the game tomorrow!
(other than Mr P&B)

Yeah…but it’s too quiet, that is what makes me suspicious…..we certainly can’t praise them for keeping us in the picture..if indeed a picture exists. sadx

Does anyone think that Raj may pull off some kind of stunt tomorrow, ie a tannoy announcement at the end of the game - bearing good, indifferent or bad tidings?

100% hope some people's optimism proves justified but I suspect there'll be plenty of noise next week if Raj isn't bluffing.

Listening to Tom Parkes on Radio Tees on Friday it's obvious the players are completely in the dark about the future too - even the few like him who have a contract for next season don't know if it's going to be honoured.

Be interesting to see if he does a set of programme notes. Just can't see him shuffling off without making some sort of dig at the 'ungrateful' fans. That is assuming of course, that he is actually in attendance. sctatchinghead

One thing that will change should he depart before next season, is the name of the Ground. Tomorrow will be the last game at The Prestige Group Stadium.

He has a contract for next season as you say, The club signed the contract and Raj was the owner when signed on his behalf, So the law stands on the side of Parkes.

Suppose it depends how long the sponsorship was signed for.

Think when he goes he'll disassociate himself completely and his companies will pull their sponsorships.

I also think it's highly unlikely that the ground would carry Raj's company name, had he departed lock stock and barrel. Even if it was still under contract, I'm sure the new Owner would want it changed and have that included in any settlement fee. That said (call me cynical) but I very much doubt Raj charged himself top dollar for the naming rights, assuming he paid anything at all, and he wrote it off against his debt to Clarence18. sctatchinghead

Swansong for Fatty Fev perhaps?

give those who will be around next season a game and some kids and bin the rest off a game early. surely nobody wants to thank some of them for there efforts at the club.

New name.

It will be interesting to see the crowd reaction if Pools fall behind by a couple goals, mass exodus and loads of abuse directed towards Singh, will he be at the game, I doubt it ?

a lot depends on how we are playing and the effort the players are putting in. if the lads are doing this well but are 2 goals behind to a much better side what is there to really moan about. no effort and not looking as they give a toss is a quite different matter like the crawley debacle.

If AL comes to his senses and puts a keeper in goal( one with a bit of respect ) then 2-2. If not 2-4
