I think Forest Green Rovers will win on Saturday bringing down the curtain on a very unhappy season indeed.

Pools 1-3 Forest Green

not bothered as long as we do not finish above last seasons 12th position as if we do some happy clapper is going to say the club has improved on last seasons finish.

Got to be a draw- we love a draw and would give us the same points total as last season

1-1 Cleary with a late equaliser to sign off in style.

Crowd 4155
37 Meat Dodgers (of an FGR persuasion)

then we need to have a meat free day and make sure that does not happen. anything but this season being seen as an improvement or even being the same for me. some will grasp any thread to hold onto for there own agendas.

Unless there's a positive takeover this week then this game will mean jackshit n the players will no doubt see it that way n carry on from Rochdale.

I'm so glad you came
I'm so glad you remembered
To see how we're ending our last season together
Expectant but too ambitious but critical than ever
I really believed that this time was forever

But older than me now, more constant, more real
And the goals and the losses and the poor defence
Turned to anger and discontentment that hangs in abasement
A team now standing where once there were only men

I'm so glad you came
I'm so glad you remembered
The walking through walls in the heart of the play off season
The blindness of happiness
Or falling down laughing
And I really believed that this time was forever

But the season falls late now, flatter and colder
And never as bright as when we used to win
All this in an instant before I can kiss goodbye
A team now standing were once there were only men

I'm so glad you came
I'm so glad you remembered
To see how we're ending our last season together
Reluctantly, cautiously but never unhappier than ever
And I really believed that this time was forever

But the season falls late now, flatter and colder
And never as bright as when we used to be
And even if we win I don't think we would shout
In the way that we did when the team was full of men

Did the away supporters go to the last FGR game dressed as butchers?

As a pointless exercise in the irrelevant, this match is without equals.
A fitting end to a best forgotten season, along with the previous best forgotten seasons.
No glory or warm glow for us, just a reminder we’re up a creek without a paddle, busily stagnating….a fitting oxymoron.

“OLDHAM fans went viral on Saturday when they dressed up as butchers for the trip to Forest Green, the world’s first vegan football club. The home side had the last laugh, though. ‘The final score,’ said the PA announcer at the end. ‘Vegans 1, Butchers 0.’”

I am reading Alchemy which is the story of Clough and Taylor at Pools.
Nothing has changed since 1966.
The story is the same, its just the characters have changed.Including us supporters.

FGR may bring a few supporters as their chairman has said supporters for the last three away games will only have to pay£5 for the coach and he will cover the rest.

Be lucky to bring a coach full as per usual, so doubt Mr Vince will be too worried about shelling out more than a couple of hundred quid.
I've been to FGR and Nailsworth where their ground is, has a population of about 5k. Slightly bigger than Hart/ Clavering.

Unless your team is automatically promoted, wins the Play-offs or finishes in the relegation places, the final positions - including the play off positions - actually mean sweet FA. As we've all seen over the years teams have been beaten in the playoffs and been relegated the next season. We've also seen teams escape relegation by the skin of their miserable teeth and subsequently secure promotion the following season.

Raj had a similar idea a while back, but apparently he would only subsidise horse-drawn stagecoaches - which would be held-up on the way back by his (ex-) mate The Chandy Highwayman, who we're too scared to mention.

The flaw in this cunning plan was revealed during the test run, as all the Pools fans had spent their cash on booze and gash and grabbing police attention.

Allegedly...

I’m astonished at the idea of the Chairman deciding what you can and can’t eat….any normal club would welcome revenue from catering….which goes to prove it’s a plaything club.

It does have a non league feel to it- similar to Brackley (my now nearest game next season) only difference being you could have a pint in the stands and there was no segregation. Though the beer won't be allowed next season.

Chandy- he's been a miss! bbolt
Has anyone else noticed that the lad who took over from Chandy- (think he's called Josh) appears to have been axed in the last few games?

Mr P&B- during your next round of talks with the takeover team - in the A.O.B. - can you ask if we can have Simmo back from Spenny?

Its steep alright. Sure first time I went in late 90s, a local said the same to me. Not as bad as the following though.

Me and my girlfriend once booked a B&B in Hebden Bridge on Booking.Com , but you have to be careful when booking on there, as some places pretend to be in town centres but are actually a couple of miles out, as was the case with this one. It was in a place called Heptonstall, about a mile from Hebden Bridge, that required walking up a hill as steep as a ski slope, my girlfriend nearly had a heart attack, lovely place mind you when we eventually got to the top, olde worlde.

know the place well. fact is your girlfriend will have been safer up there being away from the town centre and all those lesbo,s that frequent the place. a town that has quite a few dyke houses.

i would not dream of walking away from pools because of raj and owners of the past but certainly would with one like they have who stands for everything i stand up against.

I would agree with you both.

It reminds me of when The Smiths released the album "Meat Is Murder" - and from that moment on, whenever Morrissey started chucking daffodils into the audience at gigs, a section of their fans would respond by throwing sausages at him.

And those who couldn't get to gigs sent him packets of prime porkers in the post.

I love this crazy country of ours. For all its faults, whenever we take the piss we do it right..!

the plus side for anybody being diversive is you get free publicity by doing that and puts you on the map and spoke about. if fgr owner had not done this who would ever talk about them or have an opinion of them. they,d be a west country bromley and be one of 24 league 2 clubs when they were there. his green credentials will put some locals off them but will bring more of his ilk to the club.

Perhaps.

But the double-plus-good side is for the bloke who parks a burger van as close to the ground as possible.

"Yeah mate, we also do veggie burgers - d'ya want gravy on that?"
