As God once told Jamie in a vision and Jamie agreed with him, be my voice on earth…..what he was drinking that night was never revealed ….but the old brass fire extinguisher was empty.

Trump has fired warning shots which clearly demonstrated the impact if other country's don't start dancing to his tune. He did the same with Canada and Mexico at the start of his tenure, announced tariffs then paused them as a negotiating tactic and it worked.
Meanwhile the stampede towards agreeing trade deals favouring the US gathers pace.
He knows exactly what he's doing and is no fool.

Every politician is a con-man, he knows exactly what he's doing. Not a case of being adored or even admired for how he goes about his business, it's just a case of recognising this is all a game and we're just pawns in the grand scheme of things.
At the end of the day, normal order will be resumed with the rich getting richer whilst us plebs get poorer, with Trump playing his game in his expected brash way.
Also got to laugh at those shouting "protectionalism" when they generally also shout we should have stayed in the EU though. In case they hadn't noticed the EU and Single Market is a huge protection racket don't ya know?

Mr PTID, what would you recommend without resorting g to political slogans? Do you believe the UK should follow the tariff route?

I believe we should agree a trade deal, which we will inevitably, but hope our negotiators are good enough to get the best we can rather than just being steam-rollered which is what will happen to weaker countries.
If counter-tarriffs are needed to strengthen our hand then use them, protect the UKs interests first and foremost instead of playing for a fair world. That's never going to happen.

Trump is many things, none of them good for the normal folk.

I totally disagree like. He is all for the American people and will make every family a little more wealthy and create a lot more jobs over his time in charge. Repeat this in 6 months time when it will be clear to all who are prepared to
"open their eyes " that he will have improved the lives of ordinary American people. A few on here will never allow themselves to give this man any credit at all no matter what he says or does FACT.

Spot on PTID. You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Especially the horses on the bunker because they would rather die of thirst than take a drink thats for sure. Its like banning your head against a brick wall when you dare to mention Trump on here the pure hatred is vile and not justified in my opinion.

If you are into Globel Markets you may want to watch this interview.

Fair point

Israel attacking Turkish military bases in Syria
Turks controlling much of Syria
The Hell that is Gaza continues - with the extremes on both sides out of control
Naval and Air blockade of Taiwan
Myanmar
China getting pushy throughout the South China Seas and down towards Australia
South America being split between Chinese control and lunatic dictators

The president told followers on social media it was a great time to buy stocks, hours before his tariff decision on Wednesday.
Within minutes of Mr Trump's social media post, the S&P 500 shot up more than 7 per cent.

Jamie Nancy Polosi and Chuck Schumer and many many more on both sides of the house have made 10s of millions over the years from inside dealings / trading. In Nancys case her husband buys in his name not hers but its gone on forever. I will see if I can find a interview with Nancy when she was asked quote : do you tell your husband what and when to buy his shares. She casually said my husband is just a very lucky man who totally understands the correct time to buy n sell his shares. Then AMAZINGLY said something along the lines of he has never bought or sold shares at the wrong time he always gets it right. Now that is not possible for anyone to do never mind a dothering old twat like him. If you google Nancy Polosi' s husband a dealer in shares etc you will probably be able to see how totally fooking stupid they think people are. They all like a lump of free cash so if Trump is also guilty of this it wouldn't totally shock me.

We are doomed Mr Foot , I've built a new bunker under the Vic but while doing it I found the buried e gypsy's curse which was buried in the 1950's.There were a few prophesies there as well. Apparently Pools will storm the league next year only for a nuclear bomb to land on top of the Millhouse Terrace. So bugger Peterlee town clock. Get the beer out and enjoy the ride!

Mr 27 - I have just returned from an afternoon of liquid refreshments on Whitley Bay Prom, was reminded by Mrs Brian that I'm a fat person of some form and that I can't go to Dagenham tomorrow, and then I happened on your latest missive.

Frankly I'm annoyed that you attempted to build a bunker without involving (inviting) any of your chums - Mr Yellow Snow in particular - and I think that you'll find that the curse to which you refer was left by a Mrs V Barker on her realising that her husband had hocked the farm to buy a light blue Datsun. I may be wrong of course. But I'm not wrong in challenging your oft repeated assertion that the demise of the British Empire is down to 'posh oiks'; that is no way to refer to Mr Brash, our beloved and much respected MP - and his wife. Or Mr I. Or Jamie or Leggie - sorry but I get the Chuckle Brothers mixed up.

Fair point

Israel attacking Turkish military bases in Syria
Turks controlling much of Syria
The Hell that is Gaza continues - with the extremes on both sides out of control
Naval and Air blockade of Taiwan
Myanmar
China getting pushy throughout the South China Seas and down towards Australia
South America being split between Chinese control and lunatic dictators
The clock in Peterlee town centre....

You mentioned a gypsy’s curse but didn’t we have travellers in the club car park who were moved on a few years back and not pleased about being turfed out…..oddly enough when the club started to wobble…ya never know.

think i have heard the same about other clubs and its why they are failures. if the curse is the best excuse they can use they deserve to be doomed for life.

I didn't invite you because you know you would have fallen asleep in the ho!e. The last thing we need is to see you rise from under the pitch during the match on BH Monday like a latter day Lazarus and find yourself proclaimed Pools Messiah.
