bit ironic given that martin ling writes a column for them.

Leyton Orient v Hartlepool - Hartlepool, 1pt 11-4
Martin Ling says he uses bookmakers prices to fire up his squad, but the RPSPORT columnist cannot accuse the layers of writing off his team for today's home game against Hartlepool.
The surprise League One pacesetters have been chalked up at odds-on by most bookies and that does not reflect the toughness of their assignment and the value must be the visitors at a disrespectful 11-4.
Leyton Orient are going great guns. Favourites for relegation, they sit at the summit with 16 points from a possible 18. However, it is only a matter of time before a first league defeat. Three of their five wins have been 1-0 and you can't keep scraping through.
Hartlepool's road record of one win in three does not sound great, but they were the better side in defeats at Luton and Leeds and the results should follow soon.
Former Monkey Hanger Adam Boyd will be desperate to score for the Os, but if Danny Wilson's team can keep tabs on him then 11-4 is a silly price.

Orient facing a tough fight against Pool

by Dan Childs

LEYTON ORIENT are flying high at the top of League One but they face atough challenge at home to Hartlepool today.

Orient boss Martin Ling knew he had to make several changes to the squad that flirted with relegation last season and his summer signings have made a massive difference. And no-one has made a bigger impact than former Hartlepool striker Adam Boyd, who has been on target in five of the Londoners' seven victories this season.

Boyd will relish taking on the club where he made his name but he may not get the result he desires against a Pool side who have adapted well to the third tier.

Hartlepool were given a tough start by the fixture computer. They have played four of the top eight teams in the pre-season League One betting.

However, they responded with wins over promotion hopefuls Doncaster (2-1) and Oldham (4-1).
Orient are six points higher in the standings but four of their five victories have been by the odd goal and they have not faced any of the teams who reside in the current top six of the third-tier title betting.

Carlisle's bright start to the season has been upset by a lack of goals and they are worth opposing at home to Bristol Rovers.

Three wins from the opening four games suggested that the sale of last season's top scorer Karl Hawley was not having a detrimentaleffect but the goals have dried up – United have scored just twice in their last four matches.

And Carlisle's lack of a cutting edge could be exposed by Bristol Rovers, who have taken seven points from their three away games this season.

Recommendations
Lay Leyton Orient, 3pts 2.22
Lay Carlisle, 2pts 2.12
