Good Friday is celebrated on the Friday before Easter and marks the day Jesus was crucified and died.

Why is it called Good then?? sctatchinghead

The Roman Centurions got a long weekend off cos they finished early on the Friday’.

Not a Scooby for the year or even if the race is right but thought it had to be horse racing, think a horse called Good Friday has also fallen on Easter Monday too?

The horse Good Friday fell at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day in 1899.

funny how good friday is celebrated differently in different areas of england. came up to a match a couple of seasons back and forgot how a lot of the town is shut where in my part of yorkshire and i think lancashire as well that its just a normal working day for many. think its something to do with the mills as they closed on the tuesday after instead.
