Being a but presumption Motley, if he puts Pools into admin he loses everything, if he accepts a reduced offer he recoups some of his cash.

you could say though that the biggest problem were the previous owners of the clubs as much or more than him.

I can’t see the people of Hartlepool let Pools die, they might not go to the games but they have a great affiliation with the club proved by the numbers who went to Cardiff and then got together to pay the tax bill.

If Singh had resigned, he'd be gone as of today, but he's still hanging around until the end of the season. This is typical Singh, its another cry for help, to try and stir up interest from potential buyers. He's a bit like Trump, you have to read between the lines. What's the betting he'll still be here in the summer ?

I think he'll be here come next season. All because, if we sell a load of season tickets, some good local sponsorship, all the players shirts and boots get sponsored by fans and a load of merchandise, thinking out clubs going out of business.
He'll come walking back.

Then the Merry Go Round restarts.

I think you are living on cloud nine, season ticket sales were well down last season due to the lack of quality signings and unless he Singh injects huge amounts of his cash not loading the club up with debt for a decent manager and new players sponsors won’t be rushing to the Vic.

Absolutely and it's entirely down to Raj for that to remain the case. If we go pop, there's only one man and his greed to blame, as much as he wants to deflect onto the NWC and HUST for hounding him out. (On that point, have never seen a personal comment or abuse from HUST, so clearly it was tricky questions he didn't like.)

Singh is businessman, plenty of whom take loads of abuse, it’s a poor excuse to blame certain sections of the fans for a reason to pull the plug,if he was making money hands over fist he wouldn’t be bothered about abuse. Look at the fans abuse directed at the owners of the bigger clubs, did they ever use that as an excuse to pull the plug ?

Not sure it's the abuse that's led to this, he only committed to finance the club until June 2025 and that is stated within the accounts. Think like many before him he's realised he can't or won't take us anywhere anytime soon so he's off.

IS that like when he only committed to fund the club until March 2024? Got everyone in a panic, asked the trust to find someone to take over. Asked them to prove funds which they did and then turned down their offers. Is this plan to walk away the same plan that was?

It's an opinion, not hanging out of anyone, I've actually mentioned plenty of times on here that there was a message within the accounts confirming funding till June. I did say that I was concerned about what would follow. So it would appear that I'd smelled the coffee a long time ago.

No one will fall for that discraceful behaviour again.
It's proper game over this time.

The worst outcome is Raj 'comes around' again and we trudge further downward next year-either someone else takes over and we have a crack or they dont, Raj actually fucks off and we start again.

I suspect we will get the situation of Raj clinging on , a pittance budget and us circling the drain as he blames everyone but himself yet again

This Raj stuff got me thinking. Maybe it's yet another attempt by Raj to get a little breathing space. We all know he plays mind games and we know he has no more FL payments & probably less season tickets and crowds next season. Maybe he has no intention of selling up :uhoh: but instead sits back and waits till supporters start to panic etc. Then step forward Messiah Raj with a new suggestion of paying to keep the club running until a owner is found. That way no one will mention the piss poor budget or lack of squad or Mr. Smithers still in charge. It would allow Raj to run the club very cheaply whilst supporters continue to support the club via season tickets and merchandise. Then if we get off to a half decent start it's a win win for him. He then rinses and repeats his last threat of leaving and stays put to " help the club survive " for now and gets respect for doing so. I maybe a million miles from correct but......

Yeh running us like he's doing us a favor--I would like to see how much money he has put in since we went down--just curious what the gap is in funding-appreciate the TV money will be going now but how much extra has Raj provided us in the last 2 years which is the additional 'gap' in funding that needs to be covered on top of the parachute payments that are going

Think you're onto something. This smokescreen theory is gaining traction. It's happened before. Words are released, a deadline declared and the henchmen are deployed onto social media.

but the present ones and possibly new ones would buy one if they were reduced in price and a case of it helping pools to survive if they knew for certain he has gone for good. at least as a fan you get something from doing that unlike a donation to the club that might just fill the bottom of a reeves type black hole.

its more or less like a marriage that has gone wrong. threats and leaving and coming back never works and it might prove a problem short term things usually work out better for everyone in the end with a permanent split.
