For mega clubs Rochdale Halifax Gateshead & Alty and quiet a few others who managed to stay in touch this late in the season. Small club like Pools should never expect to be involved and it's only right and proper we should be fighting to stay up this season and not be side tracked by this nonsense.

I think we’re seeing how far down we can chance going as a tease.

I reckon " Our Kev " was spot on around 4 months back when he said Raj is really going to struggle to sell season tickets next season without any sugarcoating bullshit. Nowhere to run nowhere to hide springs to mind. I reckon we will struggle massive to pass 1500 season tickets and it could be even less. banghead

Raj’s departure to sunnier climes and the arrival of a Poolie fanatic lottery winner would certainly improve my summer days.
Ah well, dream on, because that’s all we have left apparently.

I reckon a 11-13th position finish. Anything below 16th would represent an absolute disaster of a season, and its possible, as is an 8th place finish, which would at least be something to build on for next season, but more chance of the former happening me thinks.

Anywhere below 7th is a disaster.
Maybe there's something wrong with me.

It is marra, but you know I was being realistic.

You know as well as I do that even finishing 7th would end up in a disaster, we'd either get beat in the play offs or go up and come straight back down again, who wants that? not me.

Always best to go up n down than not go up.
Enjoy the short term celebrations like the win at Ashton Gate.

Club needs ripping up n starting again.
We all know what's coming. No point in going into denial fantasy world.

I'm sure most think like that, and I get it, but I'm a long term thinker, I want us to go up and stay up, then crack on further, not yo-yo from one league to another.

Yep, we know what is more likely to happen. There is a pattern forming, we spent 3 or 4 seasons avoiding the drop in league 1 then eventually went down, the same thing then happened in league 2 and now it is happening in the National League, though because we are ultimately a bigger club than most and the standard is so poor, its quite possible that we could become a National League version of Everton, or Barrow or Gateshead, National League mainstays, in this division for ever. At the moment though I'd say more chance of us going down than up. As daft as this may sound, I actually think we are safer in this league with Singh in charge, because he will always do enough to keep us in this league but never get us out of via promotion.

Fair point but we'll have less money next season from league handouts to lower ST sales . Personally it feels like Raj is hanging around until 2026 when Millhouse land becomes available. Was a side deal done when he took over, excluding the ground?

really what is there to build on this season. anything above 12th is just papering over the cracks in the club. lower the finish then there is a better chance of changes at the top with them rolling their sleaves up and making sure the shit stops here. sometimes in life you need to hit rock bottom before things change for the better.

but we,ll still start with 19 other clubs having no league handouts and still sell more season tickets than the mighty halifax and altrincham sell. When the millhouse land becomes available the council surely will own that so whats the point of him hanging around to get more grief off fans.

The land is money
I also think he has ambitions of getting a piece of it.
Obviously Gunna be lots of debate because these deals are kept under wraps dill they done.

Something will happen regarding Redevelopment off the mill house Masterplan Area.

said months ago that without a real influx of cash we could more easily be a NE version of aldershot than a real promotion candidate no matter who the manager is we,ll get.
