All would love a good scandal, it makes them money and maybe furthers their political desires. They are entirely free to do this and do so on an almost daily basis. Unless someone believes some far fetched massive European wide cover up across thousands of news sources (if anyone does, fair enough but they are beyond help) then there just is no scandal to uncover. There's the difference.

Agreements are made when BOTH sides are making compromises. The Americans seem quite happy that Ukraine are, hence why the ball is in Putins court.
