Using a new method in the changing rooms I’m told..they write the players names on dog biscuits and bring in a passing stray..first eleven biscuits eaten are team for tonight.
Can’t be any worse than owt else they’ve tried..

Skippy is either so desperate to secure a win that he will try absolutely anything OR he is simply taking the piss out of the fans. It’s the Sarll vs Poolies scenario repeating itself all over again within a matter of months.

I reckon it is desperation he is simply trying anything to stop the axe falling. He may get lucky but don't hold your breath. Tonight looks like a proper banana skin and if they score early it could all fall apart embarrassingly for Pools.

quality is abysmal---Joe Monks needs to hang his head with the like of Folarin and Charman

Grey looks out most dangerous player--he'll be off to York, Oldham or Barrow next season no doubt

Agreed, putting aside the series of inept managers, Monks has undoubtedly been a major factor in the continuing decline of the club this season along with the scouting team. The sheer lack of quality across the board in the squad is embarrassing. Opposition fans, coaching staff and players alike must relish the thought of their teams playing against us. ‘Quality’ will not be introduced by signing players with predominantly NLN experience nor by bringing in cast off journeymen from L2 clubs who are struggling against relegation to the NL themselves. Raj keeps insisting that the playing budget is more than adequate for a playoff push. If so he must be either away with the fairies or the budget has been misspent and squandered by Monks and co.

never got past there second goal. i did the armchair leaving early and turned it off. a shambles of a starting 11 did not help with better players on the bench than those who started. cleary the bloke has lost the plot.

Aye, I did exactly the same with the Radio Tees commentary - which sounded like it was being relayed to Middlesbrough via two baked-bean tins and a long piece of string.

Bag of shite.

he looks like that because he has the abiity to work and actually run. still unsure whether he is efl standard though as sometimes his energy is all he offers. if you did not know which player out of cleary and folarin was ours you can tell when you watch them. folarin is certainly something from the house of monks winter sale.

I thought Ronnie Moore was employed by Pools in identifying potential signings ?

Comms at these little clubs are generally bad and it was bad last night.

Oh yeah, I clean forgot about Ron - maybe because no-one appears to have referenced him lately. If he has been directly involved in the recruitment process then he is as damned as the rest in assembling the hapless motley collection that are misrepresenting Pools at present. I can think of maybe four or five who are worth retaining but it is highly likely that they will all have departed to clubs with a modicum of ambition long before next season.
