We all knew that Maidenhead were going to kill the game and put 9 men behind the ball and try and catch us on the break.

If it's a joke of a club, just walk away and don't pay again until new owners are in or go a support someone else.

It's hard work supporting a club where you love the club and like the individual players, but know in your heart that as a team they're just useless - even at this level. The last twenty minutes of that game were the best and it was like watching headless chickens playing rush goalie. Awful. Just blinking awful.

Without Mancini and Grey, they would struggle to beat the Cerebos women' s team!

I have said this before, but draws are a shit result and we are the leaders in shedding two points a game. Win some and lose some and we would be up there! Winning half of the games and losing the other half would give us 48 points, 4 more than we have now.

On balance we should win the game. We had at least 4 clear cut chances, 2 cleared off the line. But yet we didn’t. Same as Tuesday just gone.

Last trip to the Vic for me for the season I think. Cold, shite for 80 mins, and another poor result. Love Pools, hate this regime.

It all starts and stops at the top no matter what bullshit is talked about on here about this great man. The club is rotten to the core and one ONLY one person is totally to blame for this absolute shambles. Step forward Raj Singh for me personally he is up there with the very worst chairman this club has ever seen. Please do not try to defend him with the usual crap of " it's not his fault " bla bla bla. The sooner he fooks off the sooner we can plan a better future. rakxe

But remember Maidenheaded had a couple of clear chances to get the lead before us. Could have been nil points.

And hit the bar, highlights are just over 2 minutes, it showed Pools actually had some chances though but you can’t judge the overall performance on that. Another draw against a part time team, maybe that’s the way for Pools to go. There must be a few part time players out there who can’t afford to go full time as our majority of full time players aren’t good enough. Some fans blaming the pitch but it’s the same for both teams, if Pools had a bowling green pitch it would suit the opposition as well.

cannot blame you or others thinking and acting the same. the only positive is we had 5 players out and 4 out of them would have started with another on the bench. if they had of done i suspect the gang of the undroppables, feathers, campbell and fergy would have started as well. even the bright spark cleary is a loanee and doubt we,ll see him after his loan period is up.

How the fuck has he missed that- could have knocked it in with his bell end!

You can't blame the manager for that- got to be up there with some of the worst all time misses in football.

We just know that regardless of who the opposition was yesterday, they would have scored that. Should be fined a weeks wages- for embarrassing not only himself but the club and the fan base. :angry-screaming:

Not sure why the dig that I'd be on here to defend anyone. It's a thread about the match and we were shocking. The reasons we couldn't win were clear to see yesterday and the most obvious were that full time professional footballers performed like a pub side and missed a couple of chances that my missus would have buried.

At least Stevo has the reasonable excuses of inexperience, ie just returning from a loan spell at Whitby, being a defender by trade and thrown on late in the game after seasoned pros had failed miserably. It was a diabolical finish but I thought he did OK when he came on, more visible than most of the players yesterday so lets not throw him to the lions.

However Mani D has no excuses whatsoever particularly for missing several half decent chances but in particular the two golden opportunities that a professional footballer and proven goal scorer of his standing should have buried. He could easily have taken the net out instead of tamely attempting to sidefoot the ball past groups of defenders plus the goalkeeper. Of course Mani didn’t intend to miss those chances but they directly cost the side 2 priceless points. Make no mistake yesterday’s display was as bad as anything witnessed under Sarll. I would like to hear some honesty from the manage/ coaches who should apologise to the fans, as we know that Raj Singh will not break his radio silence regardless of how dire the level of performance of his well-paid professionals.

Not impressed by Mani D or Stevenson.

Hope I’m wrong but Stephenson is likely not going to end up being a footballer for a living, he runs around and tries his best but that’s about it….though charman seems to have earned a living pretending to be a footballer for a few years now so who knows

I don't think it's fair to pick Stephenson out from the parade of shite we witnessed on Saturday. He's a right back/right wingback that's been sent out on loan for most of the season because our car crash of a club apparently didn't need him. He didn't put a foot wrong after he came on apart from spooning a sitter. But that's not his job. Especially given that both center forwards could have played all week and not have scored.

I agree with you about Mani D though. He's missing Joe Grey like I don't know what.

I'd say so, for 2 reasons.
1) The partnership with Madine just doesn't seem to work. Individually they both hold the ball up well and are decent finishers, but they don't seem to feed off one another. And Madine is offering more over 90 minutes imo.
2) It might put a rocket up his arse and push him to sign a new contract. As things stand we probably won't have either of them here next season.

think we have all seen worse misses than that. if he had scored it would only have papered over the cracks we had seen for the previous 100 odd minutes. put yourself in the lads place for a minute. out in the cold or on loan for the season and chance to be a hero in a split second only to bottle it which many others would have done.

Dunno about that. Crowd was announced as just over 3,600 including two carloads of Maidenhead fans. Definitely counting some missing season tickets but no worse than usual.

It'll be the lowest of the season by a distance tomorrow night. 3 games in 8 days and nowt that passed for entertainment in the last one.
