At least he is going for it like you said. Always thought best form of defence is attack.

On the BBC website, it has Campbell in goal, Smith up front & Mani at centre half. Limbrick is definitely a breath of fresh air compared to Lennie, it's a brave team selection, but if we win we won't care!!!

Campbel has actually played in goal before, In his back garden( 5 a side goal) played a blinder.

I actually see right cb in a 3 as Dodds best position

Shame charman is on I would have played Ferguson in that formation and flipped clearly over or given Miley a crack at wing back

At least manager trying to do something a bit different

Best charman has played all season, actually releasing the ball,
Dodds good going fwd and terrible defensively
Campbell a poor man’s Mancini

More goals in this for both teams, probably our formation but Tamworth look a lot better than they did at the start of the season

the whole defence is bad and not just dodds. started to get over run in midfield. the line up looked spot on the first 20 odd minutes where the team looked as good as they have all season. a big team ealk for skippy and matbe a couple of changes as well/

Doddsy / Campbell both need hooking. Featherstone also doing sweet fookall. ManiD desperately needs a goal his confidence is shot. Only Pools can keep on foooking up this way time n time n time again. Must win this game for fooksake. banghead

Parkes is playing left back (when we've got proper left backs on the bench) and Cleary is running himself into the ground covering at left back. Both of their goals have come from there.

Dodds is out of his depth right right now. He's a liability. Campbell is a waste of a shirt. He either quickly passes back to the player that passes to him or does literally fuck all with it.

We'll see what our new manager is all about in this second half. He's been watching the same match as us so hopefully he'll give them a rocket up their arses and sort it out.

if only cleary was allowed a one on one all the time he,d look at least as good. they can double mark him yet still have the energy to get up the pitch with ease.

Watched the replay for their 2nd and as the ball is played in, Dodds is actually walking out of the penalty area away from the scorer.
He is having a nightmare and needs replacing.

I was going to say , we won’t get away with this formation against a decent side….looks like we won’t get away with it against a shit one either

Dodds looks shot….maybe it’s the injury still in his mind but he’s almost so bad you can’t play him right now

Wonder if Dodds has something else lined up and not being injured again is in his mind

Not sure what’s up with him but he doesn’t seem right mentally
In terms of approach

This formation isn’t working with wide players far too high
As someone said the bloke on wing for Tamworth looks good

The injuries have taken his toll and his confidence has clearly taken a knock.

It’s a shame as we had a good player there, at the stage where needs taking out of the firing line and given time to get back up to speed….and encouraging when he comes back in

Plenty of effort but as usual not enough quality. Charman gives 100% but doesn’t have that final pass. Another draw so stays as it is mid table mediocrity .

I’d be giving Stephenson a crack at right back….not much left to play for and need to give him a run of games to aid development/see
If he is worth keeping

Don’t want to criticize the new manager for trying something different but that 3 at the back with clearly and charman as wingbacks left us very open….a bit like against rochdale earlier in the season where they were good enough to take full advantage

Dodds needs dropping. He's nowhere near the player he used to be and he needs help to sort out whatever's wrong. Campbell and Featherstone in the team together isn't working. Campbell is supposed to be an attacker - tonight he spooned every scoring chance he got and his best work was ball winning out of defence. Also his deliveries aren't a patch on Fergies. I'd drop Campbell before Feaths tbh (and Feaths didn't exactly play a blinder tonight either).

The keeper was solid. Parkes and Waterfall don't like/can't do the back three thing but on a positive note Cleary and Folarin both look like just what we need on the wings.

I thought Hunter improved things when he came on for Dodds (but that wasn't much of a challenge) and for once I could overlook Charmans final ball vs the amount of work/effort/skill (loads) he put in.

Nice to see Mannie so happy about scoring too - but at the end of the day - two points thrown away.

We are just like a cream cake. We have a firm top a decent bottom and the middle is full of fluffy cream. I said in pre season Featherstone would do a job for 20 minutes when needed but never full time. He is 35 for fooksake yet we have not signed a ball playing midfielder who can do that job WHY. sctatchinghead It beggars belief when we have had extra money to spend yet totally ignored our weakest point in the team.

Sounded like Campbell had his usual no end product to his game again.
Must of been carried major style at Gateshead n Crawley.

The last time I looked at the BBC line ups page Sarl was still the manager, no idea where they get their info from.
