There must be something wrong with it for high profile people to be saying the conviction is wrong.

It's a strange one for sure, the latest statements from her legal team and others it appears there's definitely reason to look at the case again. Yet, the conviction was so solid that she was refused the right of appeal.

Whatever the final outcome, it's a horrible situation for the parents of the dead babies.

Place her in charge of a prison hospital ward. There are plenty of people in there for entire life..
Apply her skills to some deserving cases.

thats always the problem when due to the crime committed the general public want the accused to be guilty. never been on a jury but feel it must be hard to be convinced of a persons innocence in a high profile case where at the back of your mind you want that person to get banged up.

This is gonna run and run……strange business though, it all seemed so clear cut..according to the media.
Be interesting to see what the outcome is.

Reminds me of that story about Bono....
He was on stage in-between songs and he started clapping every couple of seconds. After a bit he says....everytime I clap my hands a child in Africa dies.
Someone in the audience shouted back...well stop fucking clapping then!!!

Not sure what the grounds for an appeal would be. The jury heard all the evidence and agreed with the experts that she did it. It doesn't appear that there is any new evidence just different experts who have not been through cross examination. Sounds like her original defense team didn't do a very good job and a new lot think they could do better. A new trial will cost a fortune based on how long the original trial lasted. I think she's had her days in court.

then there is always some legal technicality that they got wrong where an obviously guilty person could get off with it.

I've been watching Wrongly Accused during the week.

Absolute disgusting behaviour from the Police to get a result / conviction to frame innocent people. :angry-tappingfoot:
1 lad did 6 years in jail for alledgydly killing his girlfriend. Then new evidence proved it was an Asian who must of thought Heed got away with murder.

Hasn't she got lawyers working for nothing as they're so sure of overturning the result? If she dies get off there'll be a fair amount of compo and costs awarded I'd imagine.

We all live a very short life.
All dead longer than we alive.

So compensation will never give back them lost years.
