Sacked Mike Williamson after letting him sign eleven players during transfer window.

FFS- we've only just repaired the last lot of damage those fuckwits did to the Rink End Seats.

Just as well we're still in the frame for the playoffs, we'll have their EFL spot instead! bbolt

Crazily run club
Williamson is an interesting one, suspect he will end up back at Gateshead where he did brilliantly

like many players is he just one who can do the business at one club at a certain level. even if possible i would not want him at pools as the football is dull enough now without adding his tippy tappy approach to it.

Can’t we put a big screen up for our genteel ‘guests’ from the borders on Long Scar rocks at low tide and hope they won’t notice the tide coming in….?

The shaggers management deserve all they get, they procrastinated for far too long before chasing Simpson although to be fair he had previously done really well for them. They should have sacked Williamson several weeks ago rather than backing him. Thankfully that would never happen at Pools would it.....?

Mark Simpson did well for them but I never seen him in a ‘tricky winger’ or ‘midfield engine’ role.

true, but like many of us would be they,ll be wetting their pants with excitement over the idea. just another proof of there are owners around worse than raj and have even less of a clue.

Difference is that Carlisle owners seem to have deeper pockets than Raj

Doesn’t matter how much money you have if they’re anything to go by…it’s how you spend it that counts..

Of course they do, the club is currently being funded by its second successive bunch of megarich Yankee backers. Can’t see the attraction myself - CUFC may enjoy a larger fan base than Pools but it’s still an isolated town in Cumbria - unless sheep-shagging is a popular pastime in the US Midwest?

true, but how many would they get if they were situated closer to humanity. Our chances of derby games look good compared to theirs. the only club who are excited about games at morecambe and barrow.

They'll be paying an outstanding wage to him, but considering he spent 18 months trying to get Bradford City out of League 2 and never got close I'd say it's a risk.

I’d say that it’s a desperate appointment and more than likely a disaster waiting to happen. ‘Big name’ ex-players are rarely successful at levels outside of their ‘natural’ environment - just ask fans of any club that has had the misfortune of having the risible Wayne Rooney as head coach. I suspect that most Pools fans would baulk at the thought of our club becoming ‘Mark Hughes Hartlepool United’. No thanks.

He left Bradford City after 18 months and they were 18th in League 2.
The players weren’t happy with his tactics.
Has he been doing his garden up since then?
Rinse and repeat.
