Government Minister on this morning about ‘policing’ neighbourhoods, but it’s about PCSO’s and specials doing the job…..at least specials have the power of arrest but PCSO’s are just glorified security guards…. It’s policing on the cheap.

Policing on the cheap? The very idea! I just think the police like the NHS and all other public services are at breaking point. There is too much to do, not enough bodies to do it and not enough money to employ enough bodies to do it. That is because too many people live for free and pay feck all into the system and it is genearally these types who are responsible for the bulk of the crime. Taxes constantly rise but there will never be enough to pay for the level of service needed by the size of the population. The current estimates suggest the population will continue to rise significantly so the future does not look bright.

I see we are losing £100 billion every year due to Brexit. That's not helped has it and roughly 37% of that would be in the public purse. Was this what people wanted back in the 2016 referendum? It's just made us weaker and cost us £500 billion Utter madness and immigration still climbed. Well done Nigel! At least he's done ok......

People might not like it but I would like to see a massive investment in cctv through out the town, they have it extensively in my winter home and very rarely does a crime go unnoticed and the offenders usually get detained in a few hours.

The point is that Brexit has not helped the public purse at all so we end up with even more shit services.

or just an excuse as snowy said it has not really happened as if anybody actually expected it to when those in power never wanted it to happen.

Location: Rocks or Colliery?
I was up in the village yesterday picking up a prescription from the chemists and parked around the back of the main drag next to the colliery streets , up ahead of me was a neighborhood warden doing what looked like trying to diffuse a difficult situation between a group of people and thought those people deserve every penny they get, putting their noses in where police sometimes fear getting involved.

It’s all you ever ask…you were asking it even before Brexit.
You don’t accept a referendum decision and whine like siren with the same old moan
It’s the Brexit that never was, because the politicians with the same selfish mindset didn’t want it and sat on their fat arses tilll it wilted.

Brexut did happen Snowy and if Nigel gets in next time then no doubt we will have even less trade to deal with. From being a global trading nation to one that committed trade suicide.

Well in Thailand maybe offenders face proper justice. In the Uk these people can be caught red handed, thieving, vandalizing being anti social and the toughest sentence they will face is community service which they dont attend and a fine they never pay. Thus we could saturate the town with CCTV cameras but it would make no difference because the criminals have no respect for the law and certainly have no fear of it.

Oh I see. Just for a moment I was worried that the decline in public services was cause by the financial and social strain of the best part of a million new arrivals every year most of whom are doing low paid work and as a result taking more out of the system than they pay in. Then of course we have our boat people who cant work so our taxes pay for their every need. On the subject of crime, I gather the amount of crime perpetrated by migrants is hugely out of proprtion to the percentage of population. However, public services are in permanant decline because of Brexit. Every day is a school day isn't it?

Brexit was absolutely the right decision, maybe leaving the single market wasn't so clever. Let's not forget we only ever voted to join a common trading market in the first place, we never voted to join the United States of Europe. And looking at the EU right now, it's about to come apart at the seams as various countries realise they can't solve their own unique problems due to being tied up in EU red tape.

To be fair they were never going to allow us to stay in the single market but exiting the EU. If they had everyone would be doing it.

Really, news to me because nothing was ever done to implement it.
Like buying a car but never driving it.
Technically it happened but the politicians never wanted it and sat on their fat arses.
As for committing commercial suicide, how do all the other country’s in the world get by without being in the EU …..are they panicking…no, because they’re steaming ahead.
Wake up.

Well we had the fastest growing economy in Europe until Reeves budget, and that was outside the EU. Benefits from Brexit, how about we don't have to commit UK servicemen to a EU army in the coming years? What about being able to set our own rates of taxes? What about being able to make our own laws, not being intertwined or stymied by EU laws?
As I said trade is one thing but originally we joined the Common Market, we don't need to ne in their political experiment, Norway trade with the EU very easily but aren't members btw and so do many other countries.

We had the fastest growing economy for 2 months only. That had to happen because we were so far behind. Snowy says wake up , so patronising, but I worked for an aviation company hit badly by European customers who did not want to deal with us quoting paperwork they could do without. I also worked for an Austrian company who owned factory in Durham. They cut back on investment. It was and still is a shit sandwich so I think you need to wake up Snow.

Well if you think I’m ‘patronising’…..tough. I think you need to stop reading from your party script…it shows…it shows so badly…someone puts out a post and like political Meerkat’s you pop up sniffing the air looking for those with the brass neck to have a different opinion….seems so rigid and inflexible

You have a problem with people escaping to a better climate in the winter to get away from the cold dismal weather in the U.K.You should try it Snowy, instead of posting sarcastic remarks, might make you less of a grump.Waking up everyday and guaranteed great weather, it’s not just about sitting in the sun.

correct. that was the problem. even those who voted against joining the common market were not overfussed until the thing grew from a trading area to them introducing more laws, freedom of movement and other things to make it a single nation. i,m not saying i expected this to happen when i voted but i know some did but were not alive to say i told you so at the referendum.

how can they recognise offenders on cameras when they all wear the same thing. dark clothes with hoods covering their faces. its like china in the days of chairman mao when they all dressed alike.

Well in Thailand maybe offenders face proper justice. In the Uk these people can be caught red handed, thieving, vandalizing being anti social and the toughest sentence they will face is community service which they dont attend and a fine they never pay. Thus we could saturate the town with CCTV cameras but it would make no difference because the criminals have no respect for the law and certainly have no fear of it.

how can they recognise offenders on cameras when they all wear the same thing. dark clothes with hoods covering their faces. its like china in the days of chairman mao when they all dressed alike.

You have to start some where a good system of cctv could track the offenders.

Brexut did happen Snowy and if Nigel gets in next time then no doubt we will have even less trade to deal with. From being a global trading nation to one that committed trade suicide.

Wake up.

But other countries weren't in the EU or if they were/are they never left and now it takes an age to do trade with them and costs a helluva lot more and time...that's what leaving the EU has done to us.
And yes other Countries are steaming ahead...we aren't...we are at the back of the queue.
Howay Snowy...I know you very well. You must be on a wind-up...you must know Brexit hasn't worked and is very bad for the UK. confised

You do know me very well, but you should remember I never dive in anywhere without checking it out…or going along with the crowd.
Think, don’t be part of the loudest crowd.
The politicians gave people a referendum that they thought would fail easily or we wouldn’t have got a sniff of one…it blew up in their faces.
They then decided ( all Party’s) to let it rot on the vine…but never took advantage of it because we have too many fat arses on leather benches in the Yapping House at Westminster with the ability of farting cows….we are governed by second rate sheep.
How do other country’s do it, they have proper dynamic leadership who happen to like caring for their own people and not joining some cosey Co-op that relieves them of having to govern their own country and accept the responsibility….

But Brexit has been bad for the UK hasn't it?!?

The biggest problem with Brexit was the majority of politicians even Johnson initially didn’t Brexit but saw backing Brexit as a vote winner but half heartily negotiated a rotten deal.Cameron should have been thrown out of the Tory Party after resigning when the result didn’t go the way he wanted yet here is back in the HOP.
Edit on this post thickos like 30p Lee think Brexit was a success showing off his blue passport not realising it’s printed in Poland.

As I said above, offenders dont give a fook about CCTV.

They would do if it tracked them back to where they lived.

the biggest problem with brexit was there were too many issues involved by being in the EU. most of those who voted to leave voted on one or two parts of it and not the total package involved. that included the flag waving land of hope and glory boys who still think of the uk being a super power and world leader.
