This is annoying to say the least.

R.R. is softening the rules on Nom Doms and how much tax they pay, even though the policy was paraded in the Labour manifesto.

"We have been listening to concerns" she said, which makes a massive change to the WE ARE TOUGH attitude brought in for farmers (not in the manifesto) and the cutting of the pensioners winter fuel allowance (not in the manifesto)

The duplicity is outstanding here, you don't get what you vote for but you do get what you don't vote for.

A manifesto more flexible than a dog licking it’s bollocks….excrpt the dog retains some dignity.

It's what happens when you announce poli ies with zero impact assessment being done beforehand. 14 years in waiting and they aren't ready and never will be. No doubt they'll do some wordsmithing to convince their followers that they didn't promise anything in their manifesto and it's the Torys fault for leaving a black hole.

If you have money you have power the mere threat of the withdrawal of investments would have been enough to change her mind due to the current economic climate. It goes to show how the money people can control government decisions.

It's always been that way, it's just they're now more blatant and less shameless about it.
Those leaving and returning, or threatening to leave but don't will more than likely be in Honours Lists at some point in the not too distant future.

Rachel is probably obeying orders from the globalists who tell Starmer what he has to do…..they look after their own in the new world order…probably got his arse kicked by them when the heard his comic opera chancellor had cocked up.
Notice the Rachel and Starmer had no such regrets about, fuel allowance, WASPI’s or farmers….and now armed forces personnel..

The Tories pledged the Triple Lock Plus, so that was the TL guaranteed plus the state pension never falling into the tax bracket for pensioners. Part of the reason for that was because pensioners traditionally are Tory voters generally. Probably part of the reason Labour decided to hit them hard too.
Totally agree someone is pulling the strings of Starmer and his government and it's not in the nations best interests.

these globalists do not seem to be having much say in the richest country in the western world, russia or the large industrialised countries of asia. at least the useless tories had the sence not to put that much effort to win the last election as i feel they would have gone down a similar line to labour but without hitting their core pensioner vote as much.

I love how they’re talking about massive investment in the infamous employment blackspot and job wilderness…the Oxford - Cambridge corridor. banghead ffs.
And don’t forget their investment ‘up north’ at Manchester, Trafford to be exact.
The Government spokesman say they’ll fund development of infrastructure around the area of Old Trafford but not for the ground…but other voices are saying other things…..another poverty hot spot being targeted..my arse. :angry-tappingfoot:

Considering Reeves represents Leeds she doesn’t appear to investing in the North East albeit she is from London, what happened to levelling up ?
The question is how long will it take to see any benefits of a an extension at Heathrow, current estimates indicate it could take 10 years to contruct and that’s after all the court cases have been settled.
Would it not be more prudent to expand the regional airports with better transport links instead of demolishing hundreds of houses and diverting one if not the busiest road in the U.K., the cost will be billions. Could it end up another HS2 although Heathrow is a private company the majority of it foreign owned so shouldn’t cost the taxpayer anything or will they approach the government for a grant ?

Geezer on 5 Live yesterday hit nail on head, HS2 should've started at in the North, regional airports should be expanded or even used to capacity with money spent on improving transport links from and to those airports.
London and the South East are the only areas governments are interested in since UK manufacturing was strangled to death.

I suspect they think of the North Eastregion, as votes in the bank …and can take us for granted.

Away Snowy you can do better than that, your craic is becoming as bad as Leggie and he is craicless to the extent I ignore any of his posts or comments, I have had my fun with him.
Snowy the frog Kermit is a fooking total crank like I said. Don't bother even trying to discuss any topic he is Lord of Politics in his green mouldy tiny brain. Put it this way this clown thinks buying a woman is fun but I think it's disgusting and tells you all you need to know about grass hopping Kermit. :character-kermit: :character-kermit: :character-kermit:
I can make you an offer, but you must do it on the understanding and realisation that being bait a on a crab boat is a limited ‘career’.

Geezer on 5 Live yesterday hit nail on head, HS2 should've started at in the North, regional airports should be expanded or even used to capacity with money spent on improving transport links from and to those airports.
London and the South East are the only areas governments are interested in since UK manufacturing was strangled to death.

what would have been the point of starting HS2 from the north or starting it in the first place especially as what has happened. better railway projects would have been bringong the line back from harrogate via ripon to the east coast main line and linking skipton to colne making a better route from the area to manchester. as for regional airports they built one and a road to it in south yorkshire but that went bust.

Could it end up another HS2 although Heathrow is a private company the majority of it foreign owned so shouldn’t cost the taxpayer anything or will they approach the government for a grant ?

she gas done an excellent hob representing leeds as there has been more money spent there than anywhere else in all the parts of yorkshire.

Very true this obsession with the south east is misplaced.

are other countries as obsessed by their capital city and the area around it as we have been for years. we as a football club have never been to wembley but really have we missed that much apart from the ball ache of getting there and rip off prices in and around the stadium whicj now is basically hust a ground bigger than others.

This obsession of spending billions to get somewhere 30 minutes faster is lunacy..like you I agree the effort should be put into opening branch lines.
Funny how the politicians rush to get rid of petrol cars but offer no alternatives like cheap fares and frequent services for bus and train users…..that’s the trouble with politicians, the Tories, Labour and the gormless Lib Dema are mostly middle class luvvies who patronise the working class yet try to convince us they care…my arse they do :angry-tappingfoot:

these are not exactly branch lines that end at one point. there are many lines between two spots like the ones i have mentioned to link up 2 or more lines. living in rugby for a few years made me see what an idiotic decision it was closing the great central main line. not just to get to london but for the opening up of the south west from any point from bradford down to rugby itself. even from rugby to london with elecrification on the west coast mail line the great central newspaper train time has still never been beaten from london to that town in time. they had a HS2 with benefits but closed the thing.
