2-0 now and more likely to come--hopefully not a Gateshead 2nd half job

Do you have superfast IPTV or listening to game on the radio.

Watching I was typing the first line and about to click send when 2nd goal went in

miles of diff between the teams---Commentators taking the piss out of us as well--Claiming they will have to play rush goalie to give their keeper a touch

The quality we have is pretty much zero--and looks like the wide lads we signed been told to freestyle what they can on their own!

Biggest diff is after they scored Barnet kept going for more, something we havent done since Challinor days

Defeatest Attitude from the management before a ball was even kicked.
Why should we not go to a team like Barnet and take them on, That would be the last thing they would expect.

As well as teh oldest manager we also have one of the oldest teams in the league apparently--so not building anything for the future either--its pretty bleak however you look at it.

Barnet were in neutral 1st half...2nd half go up a gear and get 2 goals. Difference is...we get 1 back...they go into 3rd gear...etc etc. We are now a mid-table 5th division team. sadx

The midfield three was a cop out. Just anonymous bollocks.

They won’t make excuses. This one has just further emphasised how far off we are. There’s a real bad feeling growing after the last 3 games. We’ve been found out. Or at least… we’ve found our level. Within 4 to 6 points of play offs aka mid table fodder.

Yet the players and management will say they are confident we can make the play offs. What else can they say? Of course they'll know that we know that they are talking bollocks.

Massive gulf in class. All of their players good on the ball. Fast transitions, ball on the floor , moved with pace. Just forget the playoffs we are mikes off. Feel sorry for traveling fans. For a big club we are dire. I predicted mid table before the beginning of the season and that’s our level. There is no way mani is going to hang around this shit. Good luck Barnet . That right winger Kanu tortured us and I only saw the 2nd half. Reality check guys that’s it…….,

To be fair, we all knew we would get beat tonight, it was just a question of how many. I guess it is the pain of hope being dashed. I had a ticket for this game and I am so pleased I didnt go.

We play the same tactics week in week out teams don't even have to work us out.

Tonight flat back four.
Midfield tonight carnt run with the ball far to slow and to cap it off they couldn't even pass it.
Up top manny tried but the team was far to deep as normal.

Anyway doesn't seem like anything will change any time soon so same shit week in week out.

what a shower this club is

Manager--Basically admitted defeat before we started with his comments and selection--going through the motions and no other club in the division would accept a 75+year old phoning it in for over half a season as the manage

Smith--Good game and we'd have lost by more ifnot for him
Dodds--How many games in a row now has someone said I rate him but he struggled today-on a sustained run of poor form.
Ferguson---Needs to be let go--been here far too long and been average far too long--set pieces shite again
Parkes-Another good game POTS by a mile
Sass-Davies--average mid table conf level defender--wouldn't get anywhere near a playoff team
Sheron/Hunter--Same player offered nothing with the ball
Sloggett--Abject player--its at the stage where I feel sorry for him, nowhere near good enough-lets pray he's on a 1 year contract
Charman--Ok first half when all he was doing was grafting but another way below the required level
Cleary--Looked good, but the tactics for him and the other new lad are just try to create something out of nothing
Mani D--Good first half but no support, looks pig sick and will be on his way season end
Subs:-Lad from Harrogate looks ok, fast at least--others did f all

We are so far behind decent teams its frightening--another almost complete clear out needed--we are obviously getting nowhere near the playoffs despite Lennies bullshit--but if we did what's the point as we'd be completely outplayed anyway

Would agree with your analysis. Feeling exactly the same and agree with you even if we made the playoffs we would be slaughtered. We are mid table conference league team going nowhere .

Auld Len went for the draw - just embarrassing that we can't compete with BARNET, FFS- you'd think we were playing Man City Away.

Full credit to the 102 Poolies that made the journey in such awful conditions on a Tuesday night, to witness another insipid performance. We should have just sent the points in the post, as it was a write off before a ball was kicked

Does anyone know what the two Aussie blokes are providing in terms of training/tactics/fitness/set pieces etc?

It's just that based on the last several games it looks an awful lot like sweet fuck all.

The usual predictable OTT derisory comments from the usual suspects, none of whom could seriously have expected the current mediocre at best Pools side to secure anything better than a narrow defeat. It wouldn’t matter if it had been 6-0, 2-0, 1-0 or even if Pools had somehow scraped a draw at The Hive, the ‘stating the obvious’ crew would still be here with their repetitive and pointless rhetoric. Barnet are not in pole position and unbeaten at home all season without good reason, so why should we able to compete with an obviously very strong squad with a bunch of misfits at best? Most Pools fans are admittedly well pissed off with the management and the sides current position on and off the pitch but there’s fuck all that we can do about it.

One thing I would suggest is that the club and local media stop referencing the words ‘play offs’ and ‘promotion’ in respect of Pools. LL and the coaching team should of course continue to instil a belief in the players that they can mathematically still scrape into a p/off position come May but it is an embarrassment to read and hear such comments when the side is patently incapable of winning successive games, regardless of the quality of the opposition.
