Not sure how you work that out - Mani has scored 33 league goals for Pools in the last 2 seasons and only 5 of them were penalties.

So far this season he's scored 9 in open play and 1 pen. He's having a lean spell right now but will come good - he always does.

Not so much they played shite imo, more we made them look pretty average overall. The more adventurous formation worked really well and we seemed to be trying to play our passing game without fear for a change.
Overall we created more and better chances, they looked dangerous for 10 mins or so after scoring a goal out of the blue, and if we'd conceded again it would probably have been a rout. But we regrouped well and pushed on. We let them dominate the last 15 mins or so too but that was because we sat too deep for my liking, yet still they didn't create a lot of chances.
We've set a standard of what the squad is capable of, can we maintain it and string a good series of wins or two in the next 6 weeks or so? Confidence should be high after that both from individual players but also a new way of playing. But this is Pools, who knows what tomorrow will bring?

The basic formula the fans seen months ago has finally arrived.
Just got to hope we haven't found it to late.

Got to go to Barnet n every other away game without this stupid respect n fear attitude.

That’s the problem with LL,far too conservative away from home & happy with a point.
Our away record is really poor & holding us back.
He’s more or less said we’ll be back to one up front against Barnet, which I can understand, but with the lesser teams, play two & go for the win.

Well said Accy, goal scorers are judged by the number they put away, not the misses. Madine's record cannot be faulted considering he has been given such little playing time.
ManiD appears to be immune from criticism on the bunker but his record, minus penalties, is not great. I would have preferred to see him put that header away rather than a defender.
Hopefully if we continue with two up front, both will benefit and find the net more often.

" I would have preferred to see him put that header away rather than a defender " sctatchinghead He can only score if a chance falls his way but cannot score if the ball lands on our defenders head instead. banghead I respect everyone's opinions but " immune from criticism " is probably due to being one of our best players and goal scorers in many years. Difficult to criticise our top goal scorer after 18 months of scoring for fun. Trust me he will be badly missed by all of us when he finally goes.

It's not as if Mani is missing loads of chances, it's the final ball into him that's lacking most the time. Take the gateshead game,I lost count how many crap balls we put in for him. He will come good again and is a vital player for pools.

All my comments refer to this season alone. ManiD's 2023/24 season's goals do nothing to help the club achieve some success this season which is what interests me.

Mine was buffering every couple of seconds at the start. Unplugged it and plugged it back in and then it was OK.

Thanks for the tip. I’m spending lots of time trying to understand why buffering happens. To be fair most of the time dazn stable. I have high speed internet so shouldn’t have happened. My contract coming to an end soon so might change providers. Might try mesh wifi but don’t know much about it. Sometimes I wonder wether Dazan not enough band width but if others was stable can’t be that. Incidentally I’m assuming you are using vpn if living in uk. If so what country do you use. I’m in Thailand.

Has to be a provider problem.
EFL games never any problems
Non league hit n miss.
Just pot luck on the day.
When working the picture quality on a 4k max is brilliant.

yes, sort the final ball out and he,ll be there to either miss the chance or put it away. no striker has ever put every single chance away and all the stats around will give you what percentage of them are put away.

Going to change my provider, get the biggest speed and try an Ethernet cable. Surely that should work. Will let you know. Will also use the app rather than the browser.

Watched boring Boro v Cardiff.
Stream was immaculate.
But game was horrendous zero entertainment.
Struggling to work out their league position and how anyone pays £34 to watch that.
Pure shite.
If by some miracle they go up probably the easiest bet in football they come straight back down.

No idea where you live but having lived in a few areas in Hartlepool I have never found a decent ISP, if it’s not a poor signal it’s problems with providers service.,
In my winter holiday home I get uninterrupted 386mbps download and 365mbps upload, the U.K. must have the worst internet service in the world.

seems its a coastal thing that depends on your service provider. when i lived in norfork we were about 200 yards from the beach with nothing between us. we could get a good mobile signal anywhere in the house but our next door neighbour with a different supplioer had to stand in their back garden to make or receive a call.

Late to the party here but was impressed with the Oldham result. Pools teams have had a habit of disappointing in front of a bumper crowd but they showed some metal. Praise where due.
If they get anything from the next match then maybe it’s time to dream just a little.
