Half the team that played in the 7&1 dicking last season will be playing, I'm pretty sure they'll be wanting to put that right.
Heed 1 pools 3. Mani, Madine and Waterfall

Both teams won't keep a clean sheet but we still win it.

Gateshead seem to be getting plenty of comfortable wins this season by more than one goal.

While we are cutting or wins to very fine margins with a fair amount of dubious opposition goals ruled out recently. Basically carrying a shit load of luck and other results going our way.

That's fact wether ya wanna spin or word twist it.

But got a good feeling we Gunna finally click on boxing day and hit the top 7 from March n stay there.

Wembley it is then.

On form I'd expect 2-1 to the Heed but hopefully a good draw but with loads of Poolies there you never know.

Heed are great front runners and once they get ahead, they just keep going for it. Obviously the plan must be to keep things tight and not concede.
This is one of the few games where trying to outscore the opposition in a high scoring game is bound to fail.

0-0 draw or 0-1 win if we are to get anything out of the game.

at the moment they seem to be scoring for fun but every team who does eventually draw a blank even if they command the game. just hope that they,ll have one of those games where nothing goes right including the woodwork working in our favour. 3 points is still 3 whether we hammer them or ride our luck and do not deserve anything from the game.

Score for fun but they've conceded more than us, we need to put their defence under pressure as I can't see us keeping a clean sheet.

i would, but will lenny and go back to sarll ball and tactics for this game. nothing would surprise me and pools going really gung ho would be the last thing they,ll expect and we could shock em if we did.

3-2 away win

3M to score - Mani D, Mancini & Madine with the winner. Think Madine could be the new Armstrong

Crowd- 3250

1800 Poolies present

This has to be one of the hardest games of the season. If we can scrape a 0-0 draw I would be happy. Hoping our defence play out of their skins and maybe we sneak one. I’m not bothered about the performance. With the harder teams it’s about the result

true. its all about one game at a time with different problems different sides have. it aint going to be a tamworth type of game for sure and we could go all sarll ball and get something out of it. or be really brave and go at them but doubt we,ll see that in todays world of safety first football especially away from home. never can understand that as the laws of the game are the same and the sizes of pitches are similar to the vic away from it.

Reality check.
It's only Gateshead
Not Newcastle
They home to Villa same day.

Bollocks to this respect n fear of the opposition.

Time for a reset of let them fear the Big fish.

Rochdale beat the Heed at their athletics stadium less than a month ago. Bet you could hear a pin drop for most of that game.

Maybe that's where we're going wrong - bringing too many fans and trying to create an atmosphere

if its a positive result then its pointless if its not backed yp in the next few games by other similar wins.

We need to be averaging 2 points a game, Lennie is going to have to be a bit more adventurous imo.
Not interested in unbeaten records, 4 draws is worse than 2 wins and 2 losses.

glad to hear that others have woken up to the fact that draws can be as costly as defeats. its 2 points lost where a defeat is only one more. it just sounds more positive if a team goes on an unbeaten run even if over half are drawn. its all about points not runs.

Been saying it for ages, but it's really Lennie and his motley crew that need to recognise and react pretty soon otherwise we'll be getting towards a situation where reaching the play offs will require winning our last 10 or so and others failing. We should be going on a charge so that it's in our own hands.

exactly. nothing worse than the situation of must win games coupled with games we need others to lose. that will rarely happen for us and anybody else as some bastard will get the result we do not want after doing our job.

A low cross from the left into a completely static pools defence then a completely unchallenged shot from around the penalty spot.

Nice one Featherstone lets his man stroll into the box to side foot home, Hunter tracked his man correctly.
